    Simple, durable, functional, effective, effortless. You simply place the cherry or sour cherry with the stem facing downwards (through the slit) and press. Usually, the pit remains on the stem. The design has remained almost the same for decades. The only change is the spring, which in the old model was on the piston. In the new model, they placed the mechanism inside the handles. So, it's even better and easier to clean.
    The pitter is made in Germany from coated aluminum and according to the manufacturer's page, it is dishwasher safe. The packaging also includes a plastic bracelet to keep it closed when stored in the drawer. It also comes with a 5-year warranty.

    I have pitted 8 kilograms of cherries and sour cherries in the past 2 weeks. The condition of the fruit plays a significant role in the result. Fruits that are relatively firm and have thin skin give better aesthetic results. For one kilogram of unwashed sour cherries, it took me about 24 minutes. I believe with a little practice, it can be done in under 20 minutes. You need to align the stem in the center of the hole and develop a rhythm in the process. Soaking the fruits in a calcium solution has a positive effect. Finally, it is good to rinse the tool immediately after use.
