I put in the washing machine 4 black jeans from various brands that had faded, a black Nike jacket that had become useless from chlorine, a dark blue faded Polo backpack (out of curiosity), and a black t-shirt that I have from high school.

I used 3 dye packets, at 90 degrees and a two-hour program.

The only thing that didn't dye was the backpack (which is ultimately completely synthetic, so it's logical that it didn't take).

Everything else came out of the washing machine pitch black. My jacket was saved, although the chlorine marks are still very faint. But it's nothing compared to what it was before dyeing, it was ready to be thrown away. The print on the t-shirt is intact, as I hoped. The color is consistent in all of them.

The rest of the clothes, although they are from fast fashion brands and I was worried that they would be destroyed in the wash with such a high temperature, came out like new.

I'm waiting for them to dry and I will update, for now, I am very satisfied, hoping not to have any surprises

  I believe that the fabric you dye plays a role, probably cotton dyes better but will fade more easily. What can I say, I just dyed a purple color on a cotton towel that had faded, let's see if it will hold or fade again. So far, it has turned out very beautiful purple

  I have a black jacket (casual blazer type), made of 100% cotton, solid color and without designs/printings. This garment, because I had washed it 2-3 times, had faded in some places and was in bad condition. I was about to throw it away until someone told me about this dye. I bought 2 packets of No. 56 (black) because this particular garment weighs around 1 kilogram, I added 200 grams of salt and washed it at 90 degrees on a full cycle. The jacket came out like new! I dare to say even nicer than before because it was off black and now it is pitch black. It does not bleed any color on the hands and also the washing machine, after a wash with an empty drum only with detergent, cleaned completely. I don't have any information yet about the color's durability, I will generally avoid washing it (since it is an outerwear) and if I do wash it, it will definitely be only with black clothes because I consider it a given that it will release some color.

  In general: I highly recommend it for cotton garments that can withstand washing at high temperatures, of course, clothes without prints or embroideries, in order to give new life to a faded black garment! As for color change, I have no opinion!

  Very good paint, it's just not permanent (meaning the color fades more easily with washes).
  Also, it's not suitable for delicate fabrics as it dyes at 90 degrees. No problem with the washing machine, I have painted many times. What it needs is after painting, a wash with an empty washing machine and if you want, with chlorine bleach, and at the end, use a damp cloth like a baby wipe to clean the lid and the rubber seal on the washing machine door to remove any residue. Don't be afraid at all.
