Today, Orthodox iconography has been established on a global scale as an art of high quality, and this is due to the recent trajectory of global Art. This trajectory in the twentieth century ceased to be the imitation of the visual phenomenon and became a spiritual quest, which is what Orthodox iconography was and is. Thus, the modern perception and critique of artworks matured. Art followed the same path as the icon - the spiritual creation. In this way, it admired the height of the achievements of the old masters who, with humble materials, so simple, created wonderful compositions and unparalleled expressive harmonies.
