In the beginning, it cut very nicely and finely, but after a few uses, it didn't cut the coarse salt. It was a waste of money. Maybe it's not suitable for very coarse salt, I don't know.

(+) I have had it for almost 1 month and it is quite convenient to use. It holds a sufficient amount, which serves me well for everyday use. Its design is minimalist, so besides everyday use, it can easily be placed on a formal table if needed.
(-) Salt or pepper residue will definitely be found at the spot where you leave it because the mill is at the bottom, in its base, where it stands. The first set I received had the mill positioned very low, causing it to protrude and not stand upright - however, the store from which I made the purchase replaced it for me promptly and efficiently, so the second set arrived fully functional!
