I have it for about a year and now it started leaking water at the beginning of ironing, while constantly showing that it needs descaling. I follow the process and in the next ironing, back to square one! I was disappointed and puzzled, because in general ironing has become very easy and fast.
The previous ironing system was from a well-known Italian company, I thought I could easily iron. Now with the 7 bars, I press the steam and both sides are ironed without any effort. When I fill the water tank, I continue my ironing in seconds. Fully satisfied, I highly recommend it.
After 8 years of having the previous model (which broke because it got filled with salts), I can say that it heats the water at the same slow pace at startup, makes the same amount of noise when it's working, but it's better in terms of weight. Maybe it doesn't produce as much extreme pressure as the previous one, but the good thing is that it doesn't take long to generate a new amount of steam and you don't have to iron the same spot twice..... Overall, and because the iron is very lightweight, I would say that it's worth its money
I bought it exactly 1 month ago! I clean the filter as the instructions say, put it back in operation, and there is no steam! I am left without an iron and I am waiting for when they will take it and when they will fix it...! It's a mess
Value for money. The steam is abundant and the overall experience is impeccable. Now I enjoy ironing. Our decision to spend a little more for this purchase proved to be right. We do not regret it
The best purchase I have ever made. Because I have many clothes that are made of lycra, it irons them more perfectly than perfect. Surely, due to the large amount of steam, the water runs out faster, but in 3 washes I may need to fill it up at most 3 times. It is definitely worth its money
So far (about 3 months) it seems worth its money. It heats up quickly, produces enough steam, and is lightweight. I hope it works just as well over time. (The Juro pro Volcano we had before lasted >10 years with heavy use)
One small observation: It doesn't have a temperature control, but it doesn't seem to affect the ironing.
I have it for a while now and I am very satisfied, of course it's early for possible future problems! Excellent ironing with minimal passes, very lightweight iron, ideal for me as I suffer from tennis elbow, the steam is ready in no time from the moment the iron is turned on! Value for money, I highly recommend it!
In one month, the steam pump broke down. I sent it back and they sent it back to me repaired. Of course, I refused to accept it and asked for my money back. It was good for as long as it worked!
Until now, piles of clothes were accumulating! Not anymore! It is lightweight, the boiler holds enough water, and the steam is rich! The main advantage is that all clothes are ironed at the same temperature without me adjusting anything! Its plate is perfect, it doesn't stick anywhere! I am completely satisfied!
It produces a lot of steam. It has a very long cord which is very convenient. It makes quite a bit of noise when the water is running low. I have only had it for a few days so I can't say much yet
Nice ironing system, with a lot of steam. You can easily and quickly iron everything. The iron is lightweight compared to the previous one I had from a different brand.
I am quite satisfied with the iron, it produces a lot of steam, it is lightweight, and it makes ironing easy, just like all the other irons I have had until now. My only objection is the quality of the materials. The previous model I had, which was 11 years old, had a cord that could be stored inside the iron, something that does not happen with this one. Also, there is no handle on the water tank to detach it from the ironing system, it just continues with the plastic of the tank, which is not even smooth and scratches.
The best thing I have ever used so far, with just one pass it already looks like it's been ironed compared to my old iron where I had to pass the same spot 5 times hoping it would get ironed.
It's expensive but I hope it will pay off over time.
I agree with most of the comments. The only negative thing I can add, which I didn't see mentioned and in my opinion is serious, is that the cable connecting the iron to the boiler burns quite a bit, and if you iron in the summer and you're wearing flip-flops or shorts and it touches your legs, you get burned. So, I'm thinking, if you have a child and they accidentally touch it while playing at home, it's dangerous. I had a similar iron before but never had such a problem.
Very good ironing system. It produces a lot of steam and you finish ironing very quickly. It requires a little attention to your hands so as not to get burned due to the intense steam, but it really is worth its money.
Most of the comments are true. I bought it after extensive market research.
Let's get to the point and I have to admit that despite the market research, reading countless reviews and comparisons, I was very lucky as I didn't see anything tremendously important mentioned anywhere.
The steam is generated in the base mechanism! Meaning the iron is extremely lightweight. This is not the case for all similar irons but for a quite limited number. For me, this is one of the most important issues as there is a significant problem with my hands (neck pain, tendinitis, etc.).
As for ironing, the time is indeed minimized compared to conventional irons.
As an example, I should mention that now the sheets are ironed much more easily, which used to be a torture, and I also stopped sending my shirts to the dry cleaner, so the investment will be paid off immediately if I consider the time and money I save.
I hope I helped a little.
The best! Light, easy to use, it has impressed me! Clothes that come out of the dryer and need ironing, with this iron it's like a game, really the best!
I bought it for my mother who had been using stirela for years and wouldn't change it for anything and insisted on finding it again. I ordered her the device after a lot of persistence and I was proven right. Perfect and easy ironing, definitely the best value for money
We got it as a replacement for our old Tefal iron that lasted us for 10 years. Very lightweight, great steam flow, good ironing results, and overall a iron that is worth its money!!!
P.S. Be careful with your hands because it releases a lot of steam!
We had a Philips iron system 4.0 bar with steam up to 80g for 12 years and we were satisfied, but it broke down, so we sent it for recycling. Since we already had a good steam iron and we are a small household with little ironing to do ourselves, I hesitated to spend 230€ on an ironing system. In the end, I bought the Tefal 7.5bar GB9220 (I read some negative comments about the new Philips models, so I hesitated to buy Philips) along with the Vileda Total Reflect M Ironing Board for Ironing Systems, Foldable, Gray, 120*40 for a larger ironing surface. I tried them myself before handing them over with instructions to the girl who irons for us... PERFECT! What was I thinking not getting it for so many months! Lots of steam, incredible speed on the iron, and I ended up ironing 10 shirts and about 70 kitchen towels from all the holidays. If someone irons alone, they shouldn't think twice, if someone else irons for you, it's great for such effortless and fast ironing. Just be careful with your fingers due to the intense steam to avoid burns. I hope I won't go back to any problems and warranties in the future.
Strong iron, lightweight, heats up quickly and irons well! I am very satisfied! It also has safety features to prevent the iron from falling when placed on the base. It also has a compartment to store the cord. It also has a little iron that collects the salts, but I buy distilled water and use that. The only negative is that it releases a lot of steam sometimes, causing me to feel like my fingers are about to burn. You just need to be careful with that, keep your other hand away when pressing for steam! Overall, it's good so far, value for money!
I had a Tefal system before and when it broke, I chose the most popular Tefal model, the Gv9220. Unfortunately, it has nothing to do with my previous model, which was a similar red one, very similar in appearance and programs (automatic as well). The iron plate sticks to the fabrics, it doesn't melt them but it gets stuck, it doesn't glide like my old one and unfortunately, it leaves a few black marks and white streaks... something that the previous model didn't do, not even as a joke. For someone who has never had a Tefal system before, it is definitely a good choice... I, who have tried the best, was disappointed... especially with the iron plate that is supposed to not burn the fabrics and not get stuck anywhere... unless I got a defective one..
