Description

Ideologists of the emerging bourgeoisie predicted "the death of the gods". And yet, the gods did not die! Today, they return ever vibrant, in our "postmodern" society.

This book is not a "treatise" on religion. It does not attempt to interpret the religious phenomenon as a form of social consciousness. Its goal is to highlight and interpret the historically differentiated relationship between the sciences and Christian theology and its practice, which has treated emerging sciences with hostility and now seeks to appropriate them to support the Doctrine: "From the stake to the pulpit!" From persecution, that is, to the ideological use of science.

The book critically analyzes the efforts of scientists, philosophers, priests, and theologians to exploit the data of today's sciences, and especially the theories of Einstein, quantum physics, and cosmology, to "prove" the disappearance of matter, the existence of an immortal soul, and the creation of the Universe. Moreover, according to the incredibly naive "anthropic principle," the Universe was created then and in such a way that humans could exist! And scientific mysticism is presented as scientific truth.

This contemporary irrationalism, scientifically invalid and philosophically illegitimate, presupposes the "misunderstanding" of Einstein's theories, cosmology, and quantum physics, as well as the process of human genesis and noogenesis. Ultimately, the secret of the celestial family must, according to Marx, be sought on Earth.
