For those who have read about the Vietnam War and have an interest in international politics, especially involving the USA, this book is quite intriguing.
A novel, yes, but it is based on historical facts. The story is told from the perspective of a Vietnamese double agent, who, trapped between the West as represented by the USA and the communism of the North Vietnamese, speaks about both sides in a somewhat dry manner, allowing the reader to draw their own conclusions. Through his own life, you gain a deeper understanding of the drama of the Vietnamese, which is rarely found in literature, and it also makes you reflect on both the "Western" way of life and the associated democracy.
You can read it in a week since it is written in such a way that it continuously holds your interest by challenging you to think about what you are reading, as well as with the flow of the plot that has some interesting moments.
