Very few students today learn - love and learn - Ancient Greek. Something must therefore change in the teaching of the ancient Greek language!

The present work:
- Systematizes certain prerequisites of the teaching of the "unlearned" (unknown) text: what is the unit of speech that it focuses on, what is the role of Syntax, Grammar, and Lexicon?
- Presents a teaching approach, utilizing various excerpts of ancient Greek speech; introductory notes, explanatory comments, and annotated translations are provided for these excerpts.
- Utilizes published translations in the lesson: from translation to the original; at the same time, it develops a teaching of translation: from the original to the translation.
- Formulates indicative questions of functional approach, so that linguistic expressions are connected to the intended meaning and communicative intention of the sender.
- Presents general principles of evaluation of ancient language teaching and a typology of questions on the semantic axis of the microtext.
- Proposes comprehensive evaluation criteria and indicative answers to them.

The central aim of teaching can only be what promotes our love for ancient Greek speech: the richness of its humanistic messages!
