Cheap meat is eaten by dogs, they say, and finally this saying is confirmed in this market. I replaced a 18hp Briggs & Stratton gasoline engine due to damage (after 15 years) by purchasing this specific 21hp diesel engine and the problems started from the very first day. Initially, there were no battery connection cables in the package and I had to buy them separately. On the first start, oil started leaking from all sides because the tubes were not tightened. After tightening everything and starting it, oil started leaking from the float's flange because it was screwed crooked and the flange was damaged. We fixed that and finally started it, and after two hours, all the screws that were falling off were filled with Loctite thread glue. We tightened all the screws that had come loose and any screw that came loose again, we tightened with glue. A deafening metallic sound was hurting our ears from the first start, but we couldn't find where it was coming from. After a lot of work, we realized that the metal box where the air filter is placed had longer screws that were hitting the sides and causing the box to move and hit metal with metal. We had to repair one of the four threads because it was damaged from the impact. When we removed the filter box, we went to change the air filter and to our surprise, we noticed that instead of an air filter, they had put two pieces of air filter cut with scissors to fit the required size, resulting in air passing around and not through the filter. The battery was not charging, but in the end, the problem was simpler, the rectifier's cable was cut during pressing at the factory. At some point, the metal base of the oil tank was cut. And most importantly, it burns a liter of oil in about 20 hours of operation. I contacted the store where I bought it, which referred me to the representative, who told me that everything was due to overloading the 13.5KVA generator with a 5.5hp water pump at 150 meters. Just a funny answer) I remind you that I was using my 13.5KVA generator with a 18hp Briggs & Stratton gasoline engine for a 5.5hp pump, and I put this specific 21hp diesel engine because the store where I bought it told me that this was the most appropriate replacement. Note that I only use synthetic oils, paying 35 € / 4 liters and change the oil filter with every oil change every five fuel tanks
