I had the pocketbook touch hd 3, with which I was fully satisfied, and I simply wanted to get one with color, so I sold the touch. In the end, I sold it not because it wasn't good, but because some things bothered me. Overall, it's great for reading books that have color or for comics, but I think that the 6-inch screen is too small for comics/manga. The colors are like what you see in a newspaper. It was okay. Also, the battery was great. With one charge, I could read 4 normal-sized books of 250-500 pages, but if you want it only for reading, go for black and white because the text on the color ebook readers seems to gray out. The reading experience is better in black and white, not that you will have difficulty with color... just if you have already tried black and white, the text on color will bother you. Also, another disadvantage of color ebook readers is that they are darker and in almost all situations, you need to have the lighting on, unless you are outside in bright sunlight or if the house is fully lit. I think that if you get it as your first ebook reader, nothing will bother you because you won't have a point of comparison with black and white. So, if you like color, go for it. But don't expect vibrant colors... they are somewhat faded, unless you go for the next models, which from videos, seem to have a noticeable upgrade. In the end, after selling it, I bought the pocketbook verse pro, which was recently released and it is amazing with a new look and a more premium build. I highly recommend it!

After almost 3 years: I have to say that Pocketbook is the best e-reader brand, by far. The best thing is that it accepts a wide variety of file types without any problems or restrictions, unlike the other well-known brand of tropical forest. It works perfectly fine on the Internet and has many settings in general. It is also well-built, especially with the case (although the finish easily scratches after some time or exposure to the sun, so be careful). The color screen is a marvel for those of us who use technical books with many images and diagrams.

Don't expect touchscreen speed like smartphones. Also, patience is needed when reading PDFs, which are not designed for reading on such devices. However, there are several settings for adjusting PDFs.

If you read comics, prefer the Pocketbook Color with a larger screen, it's very convenient.
Finally, if you only read literature, prefer the black and white device from the same company because it has a different screen technology that resembles a paper page.
