Understanding Paul is not simply a matter of "thinking". It is not about forming an opinion about Paul or praising his work. The everydayness of our lives deviates us, and the perceptions of our time, which disregard the spirituality contained in the discipleship in his meaningful words, distance us from his work, as well as from himself. We need to break free from the demands of our time and see Paul through the eyes of a knowledge that is always present and yet eludes us. We should listen to what he says and strives to implement, what he calls the brothers and sisters in Christ to do. Paul cannot be approached unless there is an inner silence on our part, without the mind interfering unnecessarily, so that his voice can be heard more clearly. All those voices that push us towards other directions should be silenced within us, in our attempt to give explanations or classify his words before they settle within us.
