Description

[...] The book by Stephen J. Chapman, like almost all undergraduate textbooks, examines electric machines in steady-state equilibrium. However, the involvement of electric machines with automatic control requires the examination of dynamic states. Thus, the application of control theory to electric machines has necessitated the description of the dynamics of electric machines, which has significantly helped its evolution. Today, the dynamics of electric machines are taught at the undergraduate level and are only mentioned in specialized books. Textbooks still limit themselves to the study of the steady-state equilibrium of electric machines.
We believe that electric machines are actually a relatively simple scientific subject. In fact, if the appropriate aids are available, it can be considered enjoyable as well. We hope that the readers of this book will not disagree with us.
We chose the book by Stephan J. Chapman among many other notable books in the international literature, perhaps because in the past it was the one that sparked our interest in electric machines more than any other book. Thus, with this edition, we hope to contribute to the enrichment of Greek literature and to the stimulation of the interest of students and electrical engineers in electric machines.
