I bought the boots 15 months ago for 155€ after extensive research looking for a quality boot. I used them for 18 mountain hikes of 10 to 15km each. DISAPPOINTMENT CAME SOON. On the last hike, I noticed significant and unjustifiable damage to the soles of the boot, as you can see in the photos. I contacted the company and their response was: (I cannot ask for compensation or replacement implying that there was a flaw or defect in the production after a year of use, I suppose this sounds reasonable and anyone in LOWA's position would not accept it. I'm sorry we can't assist you this time, but the rules that are set for us are clear). I believe that the wear and tear that the boots have suffered is unjustifiable and unacceptable, and it shows the poor quality. I recommend you to look for another boot from a different company, "this is a waste of money."
The boot is top-notch. At first, it is quite hard but it softens during the week, so don't wear it the next day and go to any slippery surface.
One disadvantage.
If you step on a wet spot and then walk on tiles, marble or any smooth surface (mopped floors), you'll be skating away.
