The person in love is ontologically free. They are not free from love or free for love, but free through love; therefore, the exclusive identification of human sexuality with reproduction, and the identification of love with fast-sex, are perverse deviations that deny the total desire, physical and mental, for the other. In the Song of Songs, the erotic person is liberated; they affirm their freedom. They are existentially liberated in the love of the other. To fall in love means touches, words, glances, hopes, battles, desires, dreams, sleeplessness, fears. It is the conquest of coexistence with the other.
