  Purchased for a power cable in a computer that was damaged due to wear and tear on the cable. I bought this cable for 3 euros, which promised to be a 3 x 1 mm2 cross-section cable, but as soon as I saw and touched it, I realized that it was like those dangerous cheap Chinese cables that are sold at the bazaar.
  - The shuko plug and the c13 plug that goes into the power supply, you can tell from the texture that they are of poor quality. Specifically, with the shuko plug, as shown in the photo, I had to destroy the cable for you to understand that the two pins of the plug are made of thin, low-quality metal with an empty space inside and filled with plastic instead of being solid or at least thick metal.
  - The cable says 3 x 0.75mm2 on it, while they were selling it as 3 x 1mm2, and even if that wasn't enough, I cut it in half because I suspected something, and what do I see? Three cables that, when stripped and measured, were actually 0.5mm2. The two cables for the current (phase, neutral) had the same black insulation, which was soft and had nothing to do with a normal cable. And of course, the third grounding wire was the thinnest, about 0.18mm2, and it wasn't copper but a material that behaves like a spring rather than a copper wire, resulting in it being dangerous due to high resistance and poor insulation. This is simply unacceptable to be sold in an electronics store.
  - This power cable should comply with safety regulations in order to be used safely in computer power supplies and other devices. It should have quality insulation and copper conductors, the true cross-section of the internal conductors should be indicated on the cable jacket, the two power cables should be brown and blue, and the green grounding wire should be of the same cross-section as the others. With this C13 plug, which in normal certified cables can handle 10A, but in this cable it would overheat at 4A.
  - So, I went to a second-hand store to not lose as much money, and I found a normal cable for 1 euro, which has embossed certifications and the quality that a good cable should have. The C13 plug was checked with a strong flashlight to see if it had been burned internally, and with an instrument for its resistance, and it was okay. It is a 3 x 0.75mm2 H03VV-F cable. The conclusion is, do not always assume that quality is guaranteed just because you buy from a store, but search and be careful with your purchases.
