Phospholipids are essential for the process of hepatocyte proliferation. They inhibit fibrosis by reducing collagen production and activating collagenase (an enzyme that breaks down collagen). Phospholipids play a vital role in the digestion of fats and the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins.
