  • I have never played a more difficult game in my life. There is no reason for it to be so difficult. Supposedly, you want to play it for entertainment and end up getting frustrated. Nice graphics though

It is a fantastic game and the best in the series. From the first track, you can already tell the difference in difficulty. But it's awesome, and imagine that I have played for about 60 hours and still haven't reached 60%. I hope a fifth one comes out

Beautiful story but the process to collect all the crystals is annoying. It's worth playing though.

Although small, let's face it, whoever doesn't go to get them all will finish it quickly. Otherwise, it's a pleasant game with great graphics to pass the time. It's challenging enough not to bore you. It's a platform game, so if you like this kind of game, I think you will also like Crash. I played it in the modern version where it only counts deaths and doesn't have lives. Surely, if it had lives, I don't think I would ever finish it. Imagine that on some levels, I died over 50 times due to my careless moves. However, these difficult levels can be counted on one hand. Overall, I wouldn't say it's so difficult that it forces you to give up halfway.

    The game is perfect.
I am obsessed with crash and similar games since I was a kid. Yes, it has a level of difficulty, especially if you haven't played enough platform games, but that doesn't mean it's unplayable. It just means you won't complete all the levels with 100% on the first try, and you don't even need to do that if you don't want to. Not many people can do it anyway, so I don't consider it a cause for concern.
If you like colorful environments, platform games, or if you have played Crash in the past, just get it and wait for it to drop to a reasonable price like with all games :D

It is incredibly fun, improved in every aspect compared to the previous ones. Of course, I have to say that anyone who wants to complete it 100% and get the platinum trophy will struggle a lot, as the challenges it has are extremely difficult, I would say.

If you haven't played one of the old ones.. it will challenge you to a certain degree.
Beautiful in graphics (PS5) and the best part is that it has a free upgrade to the next generation console.
Small as a game, around 6 hours...

I got it for free through my PS Plus subscription. It's pretty good, time passes pleasantly. The graphics and sound are fine. If you choose the retro mode, the game is quite difficult because the checkpoints are far apart from each other. The modern version is definitely more accessible.

Either way, it's a nice game for me, but it's definitely not worth 40 euros. However, if you find it for 20 or if it becomes free again through PS Plus, then yes, it's definitely worth it.

Surely it's not worth 70 euros... but still, it's a perfect game...

    POSITIVES:
    GOOD GRAPHICS
    NICE SOUND
    FREE UPGRADE TO NEXT-GEN CONSOLES
    AND WONDERFUL gameplay

    NEGATIVES:
SHORT BECAUSE IT LASTS 5 HOURS MAX, for example, I finished it in one day

VERY DIFFICULT gameplay... IF you haven't played the previous ones, it will be very difficult for you... but personally, I finished it in one day... without it being difficult for me... but generally, it's difficult and that's why it's for ages 12 and above
And don't listen to comments like it's difficult, etc.... The game has the right level of difficulty... like all Sony games, God of War, Gran Turismo, etc.

30 years of being a gamer and I encountered one of the most difficult games. If it wasn't for the 'infinite lives' mode (no matter how many times you lose, it takes you to the last checkpoint), the levels would be impossible to complete. I don't understand why a platform game that you play for fun has to be so hard. Luckily, compared to the crash 1-2-3 remaster, they added a yellow-black circle as a shadow under crash so you know where you are after big jumps, otherwise you would just fall into the void. It took me 14 hours to complete all the levels, without chasing the boxes and apples. The bosses are nice challenges with logical difficulty. In terms of graphics, half of the levels are beautiful, the rest might be tiring. If you have it on PS plus, which was given for free and I played it too, give it a chance. But for 35€ that they sell it after so long, stay away.

I downloaded it for free as the game of the month. I have played and completed all the previous ones. Although the graphics are amazing, just like in 3, the difficulty level has dangerously increased. The tracks are beautiful, but if I have to compare it to 3, I would never buy it. It's the first time I got tired, bored, and abandoned a game halfway through. Yes, it can be tiring sometimes. Now, it may be the best for others. It's completely subjective.

As a fan of the series from the PS1, I can say that it is a worthy successor to the trilogy and a classic CRASH. I tried it with the TRIAL of PS PLUS... very good... difficult in some parts... but CRASH requires patience... the modern version saves you from a lot... For someone who wants to complete it at 106%, it is a difficult piece. Now, for €70 that it costs in the PS store, it is definitely too much, around €40-45 in second-hand stores would be ideal, and around €25 would be perfect if the price drops!
UPDATE: In the end, it was indeed very difficult and even more challenging than the previous ones! Maybe it's because I'm getting older ?. I barely managed to finish it, but with countless lives lost in each level (no chance for diamonds, etc.).

Having tried the first three and given up due to their annoying difficulty, I heard and read comments about the fourth one being even harder than Dark Souls, etc., and I didn't approach it until I tried it on plus, which was recently given. I really laugh at the comparison! Undoubtedly the best Crash, much more beautiful, much fairer, and certainly easier to progress through the levels due to the modern mode, which has frequent checkpoints and infinite lives. I enjoyed it without getting tired like the old ones, where even a jump required skill in some levels.

It does everything perfectly, everything improved. From the graphics that are fantastic - not on the level of Ratchet - modern and colorful, to the gameplay that is noticeably changed. The tracks are very well-made. With the modern mode, you won't have limited lives and there are frequent checkpoints, so you won't have a problem. No matter how many times you lose, at least you progress through the tracks. It's not long in duration, but with the replayability it has for those who want something more, it has a lot to offer and those who achieve platinum deserve applause at Syntagma Square haha. A very enjoyable game, I like it more than the trilogy in every aspect. I hope the series continues. 9/10

Having played Crash before, I can say that it is a pretty good game. Very difficult from the first Maps, which shows that you won't have a great time. The PS5 version is worth it as the experience is enhanced with the Dualsense. I recommend it if you are fans of the series.

Having played all the crashes that exist, I can say that it is indeed very difficult. Indeed, it makes you bored because it is so difficult. More diamonds, more masks. Generally, the continuation of the series is correct although I would prefer the menu to be like the 3rd of the series.

I was disappointed that I spent €70 to buy the digital version of the game Fall of Mercy because although the game is nice, with its graphics, its players, and the new mechanics it contains, there are so many things to get and do, but it remains monotonous as you constantly play the same level until you perfect it, and you end up playing for at least 30-2 hours each level with the goal of completing it. It's a shame, I finished the game in 8 hours and I am a completionist, but I didn't have the desire or discipline to finish it, and I didn't actually like it.

AMAZING GAME and AMAZING PERFORMANCE on PS4 PRO that finally plays at a solid 60 FPS (I never understood why the previous Crash Bandicoot played only at 30 FPS, maybe the developers at that time didn't know the maximum capabilities of the PS4 PRO). A game for those who think that the PS4 PRO is not just another console.

If you like Crash and you have a PS4, here is the worthy continuation of the trilogy! Excellent in all levels! Two notes to mention for those who read and the kids below... Firstly, the difficulty depends on what you want. Do you want it all? It's very difficult, just like the first three! Do you want to simply finish it? Much easier than the first three! Secondly, I didn't see anyone mention it and it's the only negative thing about it. It's not HD! The trilogy was and the 4th one is not HD!

I played the trilogy again recently and I can say that it is a worthy successor. The difficulty has increased significantly, but that's also why the modern mode has been added (meaning that no matter how many times you die, you start again from the last checkpoint), which balances the situation. It's a beautiful game with crazy replayability for those who chase trophies and platinum. Obviously, I recommend it to everyone regardless of age

In the end, I took the risk and I can say it was the best! Not tragically difficult.
    It's definitely worth it!!!!

One of the best crashes I have played!! The gameplay was quite entertaining, with good tracks and challenging levels like the Cortex Castle and the final boss, Cortex. I lost about 100 times, but I enjoy difficult games like the Soulsborne series, so it didn't bother me. It is also a big game with plenty of tracks... not like Crash Nitro, which only had 15 tracks!! I have been playing Crash since I was young and I have completed the trilogy on PS4. The game is incredible, it has many additional features (wall walking, flying mode, extra characters, etc.) compared to the previous one with amazing graphics and sound.
It rightfully belongs in my top 3 favorites along with GTA and Spiderman (PS4). I will agree with most people that the difficulty has increased compared to the trilogy, but it's worth it!
