In medieval Scotland...

By royal decree, Alec Kincaid, one of the most powerful local lords, must marry a bride from England. Without much thought, he chooses Jamie, the youngest daughter of Baron Jameson. From the first moment Alec saw the proud English lady, he felt something ignite within him and eagerly anticipated subduing her.

However, as they exchange the inevitable vows of love, Jamie silently vows not to succumb to the barbaric man.
