To print simple texts on A4 is great and its price is very good. I bought it because changing the ink on my old printer was more expensive.
Automatic plug & play installation on Windows 10 without any problem and its operation is very easy. I have printed over 100 pages without any problem. If anything changes, I will come back.
And a star is many. First of all, the warranty from HP had already expired months ago when I just bought it... The color ink only produces yellow color... and I've been struggling to create an account. For some reason that only they know, I can't create an account. As for help on how to solve the problem... well... look up high and contemplate... Virtual assistance... welcome to the future... also, if the product is not under warranty, like mine... they won't deal with it or I have to pay for support... I bought it about 1 1/2 years ago for around 38 euros. From the beginning, the person who sold it to me (Sparta store) admitted difficulty in adjusting it and then integrating it into my computer. Over the past year and a half, it has caused me some issues with printing and paper jams about 5-6 times. Anyway, now that I am planning to throw it away because it broke today, but considering the prices and some other features that I am studying for replacement, I will probably end up choosing HP again for personal reasons. Maybe I am thinking about the 27 series that I had before the 23 20'.
It sucks up ink as if there's no tomorrow. I barely printed 20 pages (not even full) and then it ran out.. It needs to have all three color inks full to print black.. It's good as a scanner. I kept it for this purpose and got a monochrome laser printer as a replacement.
I wonder about the bad reviews. It is a reliable and affordable machine for home use. It connects easily, it is sleek without taking up much space, its inks are reasonably priced, and all its functions are excellent. It has a small issue with printing speed. However, if you take some actions through its program in the properties, that is, select "Plain paper" as the paper type and "Draft" as the print quality, in this case, it works perfectly. Otherwise, it is very good. I highly recommend it.
Very good simple printer purchased for 37 euros. Now I use ink by refilling it for 4 euros. It prints well on one side only, not double-sided, which means you have to turn the paper over, it also scans. Today is 8/12/22. I will not buy ink again... its own claim of 120 pages is actually with 5% coverage, so half of that, so even the refill for 4 euros barely lasted 20... I will definitely buy a toner and it will be a brother. The two stars are only for the consumables...
Very good printer for its price. It prints slowly when printing photos, but otherwise it's great and it scans and has a fax as well. The absolute value for money in my opinion. It would be nice if it was wireless, but don't expect anything incredible for this price. It's a simple printer that does its job
(I am dyslexic) I bought it today and it cost me a whopping 49 euros. Of course, I want to make 2-3 comments about the product because after I bought it, I read the comments here and they scared me!
I have been dealing with computers since '87 if I remember correctly. I read comments that it doesn't scan the entire A4 page, that it's slow, that it has many issues. Then I went on Google to read if I CAN use this specific mess without ink, and I read that I CAN'T! Because with such a low price, what printer are you going to get? I wanted to buy a scanner. I already have a color laser printer if I want to print. Scanners are no longer sold separately, and if you find some models, they cost as much as 2-3 of these printers!
I needed a scanner and I bought it. What I will write below are first impressions and scanning.
For installation, I didn't install the HP suite, only the basic user guide (it asks you to choose). The ink cartridges are inside the box, I only removed the stickers from the head so it doesn't get damaged since it's new. In other words, I only ran the scanner!
Although HP/CANON/etc. companies deactivate the scanner if you don't have ink, it worked PERFECTLY for me without ink, not even installed! And silently! I scanned 5-6 A4 pages to check those comments about "it doesn't capture the entire A4" and with just clumsy hands, I put the page inside, as the lid comes down, the air current slightly moves the page and it comes out crooked.
For the scanner I wanted, it's perfect guys. I didn't even put the free ink they give and I won't put it. I'll see how it goes in the future, but since I only want it for scanning, what could go wrong...? And I'll give you some nice tips for the scanner. You don't need ANY drivers, just load GIMP, Photoshop has its own scanning function and it's even BETTER than HP's. I change the dpi up to 1200, edit, etc. Good luck.
If I hadn't read these comments, it would still be in its box, I didn't plan to open it yet, but you scared me!
There is a lot of noise in both printing and scanning. Very cheap construction. Why has HP made the software installation so difficult with this HP Smart, I don't understand. You install HP Smart and it doesn't detect the printer, it tells you to install HP Doctor print, but it doesn't work. You end up installing the classic drivers and discover that scanning starts but gets stuck. The ink that comes with it is a sample. By the time you set it up, the color ink has run out. HP has made me believe that the printer is the weirdest peripheral and its troubleshooting is so miserable. 3 HP devices and their software give me a headache every time. I would really like to finish in 5 minutes and have everything working. The big problem is the software. The hardware is "you get what you pay for". The cost of the inks is negligible compared to ink tank printers.
If I pretend that I didn't get angry when I was running to find the missing cable that should have been inside, it's just what I need to print the self-tests, etc. Okay, I didn't expect anything better for 35 euros, it's value for money.
Edit: One year later, I am satisfied, it does its job for school prints, etc. But I got it for 35 euros all together. With the price it has gone up to, not even for fun
I have made about 50 prints so far and I am really satisfied. The color prints are of very good quality, of course before printing I went to the options and selected the best possible print quality. For this price, it is perfect, do not expect professional detail, etc. It is a printer for home use and for a small office - shop that needs a printer either to scan documents or to print quotes and receipts for the customer. I was hesitant before buying it because I read many negative comments, but I took the risk because I did not want to spend more money on a printer. I did not regret it at all and I would buy it again
The worst printer I bought. I have had it for 2 and a half years and it's time to throw it in the trash... IT HAS DRIVEN ME CRAZY.

The software was very easy to install. I had to visit the HP website and find the model, etc., which may be difficult for some users, but it's a task you only have to do once and that's it.
Printing is done in ok time, it's not a laser printer after all.
Scanning is also done in ok time and good quality.
For home use, it's just what you need.
The good thing is that it comes with 2 ink cartridges, one black and one color.
The user instructions are very informative.
The bad thing is that it does NOT come with a computer connection cable and you have to buy it separately. (fortunately, I had kept the cable from my old scanner and didn't have to buy one)

I bought the printer for personal use. While in the initial prints everything was fine, after a while it started printing only half of the pages and the ink ran out very quickly. New cartridges would run out after a few prints. It's simply a waste of money! I would advise you to get something better and not be deceived by its price.
I bought it today for 35 euros for simple use. It's great for its price.
Regarding speed:
The first time with its own settings, it was slow. By changing the paper type to "plain paper" and the quality to "draft" from its program, it printed faster! And faster prints and logically more economical in ink!
One time it got stuck, it reminded me of some comments from here, but I noticed that this time when I added more sheets, the back where the sheets are supported didn't sit properly, it was lower and even obstructed the plastic cover on the front side of the sheets that bends easily in the center. My own mistake, that is.
Regarding wifi, I don't know because I don't want to connect it to the internet until I see what will happen with the first ink refills I will do.
That's why I didn't install the hp smart, nor from the hp site:

For the 35€ I paid, the printer is just what I needed. For simple household use, of course.
It prints quickly (not the 5 minutes that some say) and the connection was immediate. Those who had difficulty installing it obviously don't know the basics of software installation. Also, it requires the simple cable that we used with old printers. It doesn't have any strange port as a friend mentioned below.
Overall, for simple household use, it is very good. And I am glad I didn't hear any negative reviews and have to spend double the money for something better.
The worst thing circulating in a multifunction machine, it made some photocopies and immediately stopped reading the black ink, I bought something else, it's a disposable machine, wasted money.
For the money, let's say that the prints are good, the quality is quite good and they are done quickly, only when I want to print PDF files it takes quite a while. The installation did not go well at all, firstly it did not have a cable inside when I bought it so I could connect it to the computer and I had to buy many shops that did not have this cable because the printer's port was strange, it connects wirelessly with the phone but not so easily with the computer. Many times it says that it was not found and it connects wirelessly with difficulty. Oh, and I should add something else, it cannot scan the entire paper (A4) and some parts are missing from the copies that come out.
I got it for 25 euros, no big deal, it's perfect for home use. It doesn't have a USB cable... but for 2 euros, problem solved.
I work with my mobile (xiaomi redmi 9)...
For now, it seems very reliable...

A simple printer to do your job. It is fast and I haven't experienced any glitches. You will need to get a USB type B cable to connect it to your computer.
However, the scanner cannot even scan a whole A4 page and it misses some parts, which is just random.
With almost 50 euros, you can do your job decently. For household use, it is just what you need and it has relatively economical consumables (black ink (11 euros/XL 21 euros). Another positive is that it can be used wirelessly with the computer via a network and also with wifi to print/scan from your mobile through the application. Its connection is easy with clear instructions, as well as the replacement of ink cartridges.
For 30 euros that I bought it, it is good, but compared to other printers at a similar low price that I have bought in the past, it lacks in printing speed and in software recognition and installation, as well as the fact that it did not include a connection cable to the computer.
I would like to emphasize that the printing speed is high when I make photocopies, but very low when I print, for example, a PDF file (just now it took 2 minutes to print only one page of an invoice with very few letters. Ridiculous).

Unacceptable installation, while my computer recognizes it, I open this hp application that it needs for printing and in the printer search, it doesn't find it at all!!! It has options saying via wi-fi - ethernet that the printer doesn't have!!! I found USB saying option, I press it to find it, and it says it can't find it!!! And to make sure that the cable is connected, simply unacceptable, I will contact the store to see if replacement or change is possible.

With some searching, I managed to print, but with scanning forcibly (because it doesn't recognize the hp smart printer) I load photos (it also has such an option) but it processes them quite well as if it's scanning. I haven't done enough prints to judge if the ink runs out quickly and if they are as high-quality as some want, I will say that if their application was easier to use and we didn't have issues with printer recognition, the money (I got it for 30 euros) is worth it and more for what it offers.
For his money, it's just fine. The problems mentioned were also presented to me. I took it back and they replaced it with a new one that works very well
The worst thing is that, while it was working fine at first, after a while it started having problems. The prints were either half or completely messed up, like smudges, and cleaning the heads didn't help, it did nothing except empty the ink. After a while, the scanner also stopped working, unacceptable for a multifunction device.
It displays a bunch of nonexistent problems, such as the printer not being connected (which obviously it is) and not printing until after about twenty restarts. In his case, the saying "You get what you pay for" applies perfectly.
I have had it for about a year.
For its price, it is perfect for simple photocopies, it does a great job in its work. As for its construction, it is just simple plastic, not something of high quality. However, it is worth the money.
