Maintaining its medium format, the Hasselblad X1D II 50C is a sleek and highly capable mirrorless camera, characterized by its meticulous design and powerful imaging capabilities. This second-generation X System camera features a revised and enhanced set of features designed to speed up performance and make overall operation even more intuitive and streamlined. At the core of the X1D II is the large 43.8 x 32.9 mm 50MP CMOS sensor, which delivers high-resolution images with a wide dynamic range of 14 stops, 16-bit color depth, and an ISO sensitivity range of 100-25600. This sensor also utilizes Hasselblad's Natural Color Solution, which offers realistic, pleasing color tones for exceptional consistency and smooth tonal transitions. An updated electronic platform also enables a faster continuous shooting rate of 2.7 fps, as well as faster startup time, reduced shutter lag and blackout times, and more efficient autofocus performance.

Balancing the imaging capabilities, the X1D II is also distinguished by an updated body with a larger 3.6" 2.36m-dot touchscreen and a 0.87x 3.39-dot OLED electronic viewfinder. These work together to provide more comfortable and easier viewing means for shooting in various conditions. The X1D II also retains the physical design, with a particularly deep right-hand grip and a sleek aluminum alloy body. The overall compact form factor is partly due to the design of the XCD lenses, which eliminates the need for a shutter system and provides full flash synchronization across the entire shutter speed range up to 1/2000 sec. Additionally, built-in Wi-Fi allows for wireless remote control and file transfer via Phocus Mobile 2, and an integrated GPS module enables location data recording for geotagging.
