  As seen sound quality, power of sound and bass all good. But the battery is garbage not worth the money. After I bought this, I happened to see at a fair the same T&G brand speaker, I bought it for 10 euros. It doesn't have such good sound quality and bass but the battery lasts at least twice as long. 10 euros one, 100 euros the other. Pure mockery.

  A speaker that, in my opinion, is worth around 25-30€ for the sound it produces. Now that I'm sitting here and opening it because it no longer charges and its batteries need to be replaced, I see that all the screws are rusty and unpainted!

  Under no circumstances would I recommend someone to buy it today, as much higher quality speakers from the same company are available.

  I have it here for almost 3 years, it's the best for the sea, hanging out and having fun. It has a very nice sound, the battery lasts for 10 hours and it takes a long time to run out. It's perfect for trips and walks, it has a very clean sound and it's quite powerful for its size. It's worth 100% of its money!

  I got it a week ago and I have to say that I am quite satisfied with its sound.
  Its main drawback is that its trebles are not at all clear and, in fact, if you overdo it, the speaker can't handle it.
  It is very good for testing mainly the low-end mixing in my songs, which is a very important area, and since its bass reaches up to 5Hz, I have a detailed picture of my low-end that is equally good, I must say, with my studio monitors.
  Generally, if people are going to buy JBL, they will go for either the Flip 5 or the Flip 6. However, I compared the performance of the Flip Essential and the Flip 5 with a frequency analyzer and really, the only difference is that the 5 is slightly louder.

  Solid construction. Satisfactory sound. Above average for its category.
  However, at the current price of the JBL Flip5 (75€), I don't see a reason why someone would prefer the Flip Essential (69€).
  When placed side by side in an outdoor space, the Flip5 outperforms the Flip Essential.
  The main drawback is that it cannot be connected to other speakers in the series.
  Before purchasing, try it out at a large retailer, where you will most likely be able to compare it with others.

  I decided to buy it, seeing reviews from other buyers. Unfortunately, I made a big mistake. Obviously, your standards are very low. The speaker, as a construction, is solid and beautiful. Beyond that, however.. The sound. It is completely flat, it never impresses you for anything. It is a "mediocre" speaker that has nothing really good! No treble, no bass, no midrange. It just does its job, like an average football player-worker who plays in the center and just passes the ball... but that's it. I regret buying it and I get annoyed whenever I hear it because I don't have much money to throw it away and get another one... I have to say that "blind" buying is unacceptable. Which has now prevailed, unfortunately. As buyers, we should have the ability to listen before we deposit our money..

  Well, here we go.. I don't know what others think, but I've had it for a year and I can tell you that even at 100% it plays perfectly clean without any distortion. It's a wonderful, high-quality construction that connects easily, and we had a blast at my mini house party. I've never been interested in bass, I don't pay much attention to it.. (not that it's bad) it sounds great to me. The highs are perfect. Also, compared to the flip 5, it has 2 channels while the flip 5 has one. I highly recommend it!!!

  Owner of this for 1 year now, it produces good sound up to 70% volume, but after that, we lose the bass. It has relatively good quality, like all these speakers, but compared to the Flip 4, it has half the volume and quality in the highs. I would recommend it if you don't want to spend so much money. Also, a huge negative is that it doesn't have JBL Connect Plus, meaning it cannot be connected with other JBL speakers

  Very balanced and clear sound up to 70% of its volume, I have the boombox so it is a good point of comparison, I bought it for my son and I didn't expect it to sound so sweet, of course if you turn up the volume it loses that punchy sound but it's okay, it's not a party speaker, it plays loud and clear up to 65-70%, it will impress you. It was bought for 69€, at 99€ I see now there are no better options.

  I have had it for half a year and I have used it extensively. Generally, I want it to play music from morning till night, so it plays for several hours throughout the day. Its battery is strong, it can last me 5 days without charging (of course, I don't listen at high volume). Nice sound, clear and powerful for its size. You can take it everywhere with you, without worrying that it will get wet due to its waterproof design. It's worth buying it for 1000!

  Five stars because it is equal to or better than the best seller Flip3... for only 59€! As for the Flip4, I don't know, but compared to the Flip5 that I have an image of, I will tell you that:
  1) The 5 has slightly higher volume, but in terms of sound quality at max, the essential is better.
  2) The 5 has the charging port exposed.
  3) On the 5, the membranes on the left and right of the sub are of lower quality or at least they appear that way (JBL made them plastic, what a shame).
  4) At least +20€ for the 5, there really is no reason.
  If you are looking for something well-made, with balanced sound in treble and bass, with good portability in terms of size and battery... go for it while it's available!
