Travel Scope™ 70 DX terrestrial and astronomical observation telescope

This telescope includes an adjustable-height tripod, multiple accessories, and a smartphone adapter so you can capture images and videos through the eyepiece. Everything is stored in a high-quality backpack - ready to go wherever your adventures take you.

Whether you're heading to your next camping trip or enjoying an impromptu astronomy session at home, setting up the telescope is very easy. Even on your first observation, you can assemble the telescope and its accessories in just a few minutes. The adjustable tripod legs allow you to adjust the height of the telescope or place it on elevated surfaces, such as a table.

At night, the Travel Scope™ 70 DX offers wonderful views of planets, the Moon, star clusters, and the brighter deep-sky objects, such as the Orion Nebula and the Andromeda Galaxy. During the day, the Travel Scope™ 70 DX can be used as a spotting scope. Enjoy stunning views of birds, wildlife, boats on the water, and much more.

The entire telescope kit weighs just 3.3 kg, so you can take it anywhere, hassle-free.

Smartphone Adapter and Shutter Release with Bluetooth

Create your own stunning images and videos of celestial or terrestrial objects with the smartphone adapter. With its lightweight, rigid frame, this accessory allows you to attach any smartphone to the eyepiece of your Travel Scope. The additional magnification provided by the eyepiece lens enables your phone to capture beautiful images of the Moon and planets. The smartphone adapter is easily installed by securing it to the eyepiece. The smartphone is held in place with the help of clamps that snap securely and keep your phone in position. To capture the best possible image, Celestron also provides a Bluetooth shutter release version that allows you to activate the camera shutter on any Android or iOS smartphone from a distance, without disturbing the position of your phone and telescope.

Note:

Some large and/or bulky phone cases (including folio-style cases) may need to be removed for the phone to fit into the adapter.

Manual altazimuth mount

Navigate the sky with confidence using the easy-to-use handle of the Travel Scope™ 70 DX. The control with the altazimuth mount allows for smooth observation.

Like a photographic tripod, you can move the telescope up/down, left/right to follow your object in the eyepiece.

An altazimuth mount is the simplest type of telescope mount. Its name is a combination of the words "altitude" and "azimuth". This type of mount performs up - down (altitude) and left - right (azimuth) movements.

Accessories Included

In addition to the smartphone adapter and Bluetooth shutter release, the Travel Scope™ 70 DX includes a full selection of optical accessories, including two eyepieces (20mm & 10mm), an erect image diagonal, a finderscope, a 2x Barlow lens, and a 1.25” Moon filter. The two eyepieces offer different magnifications, so you can view your target at low or high magnification. The erect image diagonal allows for viewing with the image in the correct orientation. The permanently mounted finderscope will help you locate objects and quickly center them in your telescope's eyepiece. Finally, the Moon filter reduces the bright glare and increases contrast on the Moon's surface.

Travel Backpack

Store the optical tube, tripod, eyepieces, and accessories safely in the provided backpack.

On the second day, I properly adjusted the researcher and found the Moon with great ease!
With another tripod, the ease of use of the telescope increases vertically

This review is about the lens diameter: -

The most suitable telescope for a beginner. Satisfactory aiming but the price could be a little lower. The base for mobile photography is very mediocre, we do not recommend it. Also, the mechanism for adjusting the focus is average as it is not particularly stable (the handle is not very precise)

Fake construction. It simply does the job for very basic things. To tell the truth, I expected better performance. It has given me a lot of trouble with focusing, and many times it appears so blurry that it makes me think it needs cleaning even though it's not dirty. It's my first telescope, so maybe I can still make some small mistakes that result in this outcome.

I have seen the Moon (perfectly), especially if you have a good phone, you can take very good photos. Jupiter is also visible quite well with its 4 satellites, as long as you focus correctly. If you are more observant, you can also see the two large brown stripes. Saturn is okay with its rings, but don't expect too much. As for stars, I have seen Antares and Vega. Of course, it gets an upgrade with the included 2x barlow, and if you want even better results, you can get a 5x barlow for more zoom. The downside is the tripod support, especially when attaching the base with the phone, as it can cause the object you are targeting to be lost (annoying).
