  1 year and me together with the helmet. I use it to go to work and come back twice a day, I put it on and take it off, I always have it open. It's a problem that the chin strap comes loose 150-200 times. Today the lever that opens the helmet broke. So it was very difficult to take it off. Let's go for a replacement, cost 13€ + shipping. I will change it myself. As for the experience, the strap is tragic for Adam's apple. When it's closed, more air enters than when it's open (I really can't explain it). There are no swirls up to 100km. The ventilation is non-existent. It's quite light and that alone deserves one star. I wouldn't even give 100€ for it. Now I understand why the seller kept suggesting something else instead of this specific helmet. Logical.

  I bought this helmet (at €399 when it was first released) believing that it was a top choice among flip-up helmets. Unfortunately, it turned out to be much worse than all the other flip-up helmets I have bought in the past at half the price or less.

  Its positives include:
  - Its unique appearance,
  - Its particularly low weight (for a flip-up helmet),
  - And the availability of spare parts.

  Its negatives include:
  - The strap, which - for me - sits too low on the chin near the carotid artery and occasionally causes choking. As a result, I have it as loose as possible to avoid discomfort.
  - Its ventilation is non-existent, whether I have the vents open or not, I don't notice any difference.
  - Excessive noise and poor aerodynamics, compared to other much cheaper flip-up helmets I had, which performed better in the wind and didn't whistle.
  - And most importantly, low build quality (especially for a €400 helmet). It's the first time that the visor has come off while I had the chin up (I was in motion). This happened because the visor is attached with a clip and doesn't secure with a screw (there is a relevant video on YouTube for anyone interested). Fortunately, there are still spare parts available, and I bought another one for €35. After a while, the chin locking mechanism broke. I have flip-up helmets that are 10+ years old and have never encountered such a problem. I replaced it myself for €13.

  I should note that I am not a professional driver, such as a delivery or courier driver, and I do not use the helmet and motorcycle daily, only occasionally. The conclusions are up to you.

  The features on paper are good, but in practice...
  I've had it for less than a year and the issues have already started. The first and worst problem is that the strap chokes me when I fasten it, no matter how loose I make it. The plastic wrapping of the metal buckle on the strap touches my Adam's apple and hurts. I don't know, maybe it's a problem with my body, but I don't experience this with my other two helmets. Let's move on.
  The sunglasses keep falling off, they don't stay in place... And you have to keep adjusting them with your hand.
  The chin cushion fell off somewhere on the road due to the wind...
  The whole construction creaks. It's not worth its money.
  The only good thing about it is the weight and appearance. My conclusions are based on ten months of extensive use, both on rides and deliveries. With this money, you can get something simpler without all the unnecessary extras that cause issues. Or if you want any flip-flop, go for much more expensive and better quality ones.
  Oh, and I forgot to mention that once after using it with a full-face, I tried to unlock it to take it off my head and the button got stuck inside and wouldn't open!! I had to forcefully remove it with the helmet still closed on my head, took it to the store where I bought it, and they fixed it for me... that's it...

  As for the negatives, the transparent outer visor broke twice, the helmet started to come apart after 2 years, and the clear coat comes off even with a fingernail. Anyway, next time, be careful...

  I bought it a year ago for €399 and without dropping it, the foam on the head broke and the wire rope from the helmet's opening got cut. The process to fix it is very time-consuming and half of the helmet needs to be disassembled. For this money, I would definitely look for something else. It is lightweight but easily gets marks if you don't have the case.

  I am changing my rating to 1 star.. in the update 3 years ago, I would like to add that there are no longer any spare parts available. Not even on the official LS2 website. Especially now, stay away, guys. If something breaks, you will be left without a helmet. Also, the way you put on and take off the visor is difficult and there is a risk of breaking the visor's tabs (it happened to me twice). Whether you open or close the vents, it's the same. You will sweat in the summer. In the winter, you won't be able to see anything with the fog, even if you use pinlock or anti-fog spray on the visor. The fogging is a result of poor ventilation. Even if they gave it to me for free, I don't think I would take it. It seems dangerous. Ventilation and fogging are important for rider safety.

  Update 29/08/2019

  After a trip, I have noticed the following:

  1. Aerodynamic noise, annoying after 100 km/h. I can't hear the music from the Bluetooth even at maximum volume.

  2. Ventilation is still a problem. Even with all the vents open, you don't feel air coming in and circulating. Even at high speeds. It drips, basically. Since it's my first helmet, I don't know if it's the same with others. Generally, people in the motorcycle community have told me that this is an issue with modular helmets.

  3. My helmet fell twice on the ground onto a rock.. Some small scratches, nothing more. The sun visor is great. Sometimes it seems better than sunglasses. I was riding with the sun directly on my face and it was fine.

  I am changing my rating from 5 to 3 stars because for a €400 helmet, I expected something better. But as I mentioned before, it's my first helmet. Overall, it's good for city riding if you overlook the ventilation. I will update again about its performance in winter.

  So, in winter.. it fogs up instantly and doesn't defog unless you open the helmet. If it's raining and it fogs up, you're in trouble. You will have to open the helmet, which means you will likely have droplets on the inside of the visor. The pinlock only delays the fogging. It's certain that after some time, depending on how deeply you breathe, the pinlock will also fog up. The helmet becomes useless. I have bought the NEXX WED2 and I don't really use the LS2 anymore. It's just a backup option for emergencies.

  Very good helmet. Lightweight, high quality. The ventilation bothers me a bit, but I haven't tried the included pinlock yet! Noise level is satisfactory at speeds above 100 km/h.
