Description

The questioning or denial of acceptance of the will of the majority, within the framework of bourgeois democracy, which is argued in this essay, may seem provocative.

And it is indeed provocative because it deconstructs one of the basic principles of this pseudo-democracy and reveals its deceitful nature, as it is highlighted both by its critics and by the weak arguments of its defenders.

Specifically, it is about documenting the position that capitalism, namely the dictatorship of the bourgeois class, and in the form of bourgeois representative democracy, among other evils, shapes unfree individuals.

At the same time, with the granting of universal suffrage, it appears to treat unequal individuals as equal citizens in their real existence.

This means that, on the one hand, it allows people to express themselves "freely" after having previously deprived them of the right to think "freely", while, on the other hand, it attempts to conceal social inequalities behind the facade of equal political rights.

This critical approach does not in any way constitute a denial of the utilization of political rights and bourgeois parliamentarism for the overthrow of capitalism, which is a prerequisite for the realization of democracy.
