Unfortunately, the Lyra Sanguine is excessively soft and waxy. The color is not bad (especially compared to other brands, which are much worse), it is closer to "Red Chalk" with a slightly redder tone, rather than orange, but still a relatively nice color. The fact that it is soft helps it appear deep and dark easily. You need to have a very light hand with this pencil because it is very soft, not only in terms of tone but also because it needs sharpening every minute, literally, if you want to have a sharp point for details.
I would recommend going straight to the best "Red Chalk" by Koh-I-Noor. You can find it in a wooden pencil with the name Kohinoor Red Chalk or Koh-I-Noor Hardtmuth Red Chalk.
For those with more experience, it is also available in 5.6mm and the best lead holder is the Kohinoor 5340. I bought the pencil for less than 10 euros, but it is easily worth three times that. The box with 6 leads costs only 2 euros and they last forever.
