They were tested on hiking in snow and mountains. It keeps the foot quite stable and doesn't let it move around. I walked in snow up to my knee and nothing went through. I just felt some moisture inside the sock, which is normal. They are quite lightweight, but I think the sole is a bit hard compared to La Sportiva. It is a good choice with decent construction quality

Yesterday I bought the shoes, they are very comfortable. I haven't taken them for extreme hiking yet, but I will update later on with further information about this specific shoe.
