This book explores the historical and, above all, theological prerequisites of Islamic radicalism, which also substantiate jihad. The main proponents of the relevant argumentation, al-Banna, Qutb, and Mawdudi, are examined, as well as various Islamic organizations, such as the Muslim Brotherhood, which influenced the corresponding developments, and the newer extremist Islamists who contributed to the unconditional and limitless evolution of Islamic terrorism. The analysis of the profile of Muslim extremists, as well as the description of the stages of Islamic radicalization, significantly contribute to the comprehensive understanding of this global phenomenon.

As argued in the book, Islamic radicalism and jihadists will only be effectively addressed by Muslims themselves. Ideal solutions will emerge from Islamic awakening and revision based on the Quran and other dimensions of Islamic reality. Otherwise, any external initiatives and changes are at risk of being loudly rejected by the insurmountable crisis of Islamic consciousness. Moreover, military or other violent solutions will only bring superficial results, while in the long run, they will cause permanent irreparable damage.
