Expensive case but completely justified price. Negative for such a price are the case fans. They should be PWM. The configuration of the case is indeed ideal. You can change the arrangements in the case according to your needs. It is impossible not to cover you in whatever system you plan to build. So far, I have not noticed any color problems in 4 months of use. Side panels without the use of screws, easy to use. The manual is very detailed regarding the configuration of the case, and the packaging is very well done, with an extra perforated top cover. First contact with this brand and very satisfied.
Initially, I was hesitant about Fractal Design due to some negative comments I had read and heard in the past regarding the quality of their materials and paint on their cases.
The options for my system with an SSI-EEB sized motherboard were very limited. In the end, I took the plunge, accepted the risk, and bought the Define 7 XL. After 2 months of living with it, I can say that I am quite satisfied. It is spacious, comfortably fitting everything without any difficulty during installation. The cable management was easy and quick, and there is no excessive dust buildup on the backside like the classic mess under the carpet. The cables do not press against the side panel, fortunately, Fractal provided a larger gap between the side and the back where the motherboard goes, allowing for even the thickest cables to fit comfortably. The only minor complaint is perhaps the assembly of the side panel with the glass, it could close a little better (it closes very well, but for the sake of absolute soundproofing, I would prefer it to close more tightly). The three pre-installed 140mm fans are relatively good, but not the quietest. The Arctic Cooling P14 PWM and Noctua NF-A14 PWM fans are both more efficient and quieter if you want better airflow and a quieter environment.
For a 5/5 rating, I would have liked the case to be at the old standard price, meaning I would say it is worth 150€. At the current price of 220+ and some other crazy prices (300-350-400€ for cases without the quality of materials and finishing that, for example, Lian-Li had), it is at least annoyingly "funny".
For a system with 1-2 watercooling loops or a large motherboard with a large heatsink, multiple hard drives, etc., it is perfect. I highly recommend it (as long as the panels don't start peeling off in 6 months, I will update if... hopefully it won't be necessary!)
