I have had it for 8 months and I can only say the best. At a purchase price of €370, it is one of my best purchases. With all these specs in 2K resolution for this money, I don't know if there is anything better. And it's Asus!
The first monitor arrived with a slight light leak. I used it for a week and then it simply stopped displaying any image. It was replaced as dead on arrival, after a month of phone calls and emails with the ASUS representative in Greece. The second monitor arrived, but it has a terrible light leak. It's impossible to see anything properly because the top and bottom black bars are white... However, it is excellent for gaming. The contrast (which was the main reason I bought it) is incredible. I come from a DELL p2418D IPS 24' 60hz monitor that was spot on with its colors due to work. And the three times greater contrast won me over. The whites are a bit strange, leaning towards yellow. But after calibration, it becomes normal. The motion blur is quite decent, although it does have some blurriness, as other reviews mention. IMPORTANT: you cannot have both ELMB and Adaptive Sync active at the same time on this model. You can only do that on the VG27AQ (the equivalent IPS model). Overall, it's good for gaming. If you also want it for everyday use, go for an IPS monitor to be safe. I recommend the DELL 2721dgf, which is in the same price range, or the LG 27GL850-B. And I hope you don't have any issues with light leak.
I received it today. It is the first gaming monitor I have come in contact with. I immediately got used to the curved feature! Its colors are incredible, it has amazing functions, and a very easy menu. The viewing profiles it has (gaming, cinematic, fps, racing) are perfectly programmed and the 27 inches, while it was a big leap from the 21 I had for so many years, will definitely reward me.
I'm not used to writing comments, but if you are in doubt because of its price, like I was, just be patient until you can afford it!
Yesterday I got it, I don't have an opinion yet, I just mention that it has a DP 1.2 port which means HDR doesn't work, it requires 1.4+. For HDR, it needs HDMI 2.0 as much as the port supports, BUT you won't have 165Hz, it only goes up to 144Hz.
So, summarizing for 2K:
with HDMI 2.0 you have HDR + 144Hz
with Display Port you have 2K 165Hz without HDR
So, 165Hz + HDR won't work.

It is worth its price at first glance. You immediately get used to the curvature of the screen even in desktop applications. As for gaming, the colors are very vibrant. More to come when the system is upgraded.
