Even for 2 people, I think it will be excessive.
In terms of durability and the duration of the ice pack (a large ice pack), I put two bowls and a water bottle in it and it kept them cool for over 7 hours in a shaded area. I don't know how it will maintain more things, but I believe that for its price and size, it will be great for a family outing to the beach.
