The best solution..in a house of 250 sqm I have almost no losses anywhere and the most important thing is that it automatically changes kit without losing signal on the phone.
Anyone who wonders whether they should get a power-line or this, should get this deco. I had also bought the devolo powerline and it reached 100mbps on a 300mbps optical fiber line. With this deco, I have been saved. I have no loss in speed, I reach 300 and more. The second deco is connected directly to my desktop via ethernet.
Due to my duplex, I have a problem with the internet. It is the best repeater I have found and it does its job quite well. Compared to others in its category, it may be a little more expensive but it is worth its money!
I have it for about a month. It works perfectly with minimal losses. With a speed of 200 Mbs, it reaches 150 in the most difficult point of the house while before with powerline it reached 30...! I highly recommend it.
It is the 3rd one I am getting. I already have 2 that I bought as a set. It covers the whole house and the basement, without any interruptions or decrease in speed. With the mobile app, I can see at any moment who is connected to my network, even if I am not at home
I won't go into details, but I've been using it for a year now, and I have found my peace with the internet and the extension of its signal!! I bought 5, one for each house. Just a very good product and very practical - user-friendly for 50 euros!
It was used to give 5G to a smart TV on the other side of the house and it does the job. Unlike repeaters/extenders, the Deco has almost zero lag.
After a long time with AirCube (which did a great job but is now outdated) and since Quest3 definitely needs at least Wifi v5 to work, I got a double Deco M4 to cover the whole house (two floors 180sqm). Easy and fast setup with instructions from the app (which asks you where you placed it, what role it will play, etc. and automatically sets up each Deco), no communication issues between them, very good signal even after many walls (and almost 10m+ distance). I have yet to see how it performs in terms of stability, durability, and upgrades, but it seems like a very good choice.
In a 135sqm house (with balconies, front and back side, and relatively square-shaped house), where before, I had no signal at a distance of 7-8 meters from the router, now it seems to catch everywhere.
One connected to the router not in the center of the house, and the other at a distance of ~6 meters away from it, where before I would lose the signal somewhere around there (3 walls in between).
I have encountered 2-3 days where at night I had no signal at all, no internet, but I consider it was random!
Very good perfect...but I have a 1Gbps line and it doesn't go over 550-600 Mbps on wifi..of course I have it connected with Ethernet...
I bought it to have signal on the lower diagonal floor. Unfortunately, the range is not sufficient for this use.
Unbelievable machine. The initial plan was to set them up with wifi backhaul at first, but I ended up wiring them as quickly as possible. It's been 9 months and I haven't even had to deal with them because they run flawlessly. I have my PC wired to the satellite Deco and consistently get 200mbps download speed. Any connection issues that arose were never the Deco's fault. And the app works great. I also installed them for friends, where they wired them as well, and they work perfectly there too.
I have wifi throughout the entire house and my mobile/laptop automatically chooses which access point to connect to and switches between 5 or 2.4GHz on its own. Infinitely better than separate wifi networks.
The only disappointment I found is that the guest wifi is useless if the Deco is in access point mode and not router mode (devices on the guest network are not isolated). Unfortunately, because Greek internet providers are what they are, it's a hassle to change the router.
I had concerns about whether it would cover a 230 sqm house with 6 levels. It fully covers all areas (kit with 3 units) despite obstacles, walls, and several stairs. Easy installation through the application and management of the entire network.
The first set was purchased from public, which had many disconnections within the first day of operation. Contacting tp link (excellent service) via live chat, the replacement was recommended. Another user had reported the exact same issue and with the same solution, the replacement. I installed the second set and it works perfectly without any disconnections so far.
Connection via Ethernet 10m from the router on the first floor to the main deco on the second floor and wireless connection of the second deco. 100sqm house. With a 50Mbps speed on the OTE router, I get 49Mbps on the main wireless and 43Mbps on the second deco. Flawless.
Absolutely satisfied so far, it is understood that the speed decreases on a different floor, but I believe it is due to natural obstacles and not the device.
I use it in a different apartment, on the same floor but with 2 apartments in between and about 9 meters hallway. The internet is very fast, it has not frozen or needed a restart even once after 3-4 months of use. It's worth the money!
I consider it to be one of the best in its category, they are worth their money 100%. Also very easy to install.
Very good. It was installed in a three-story maisonette and I have around 80mbps on each floor with a 100mbps line. My only objection is about the range. Outside in the yard, and even though on the lower floor I have 80mbps speed, when I move about five meters away from the house, the speed drops to 20mbps. I have installed 3 deco M4 v2 and maybe I will install another one on the lower floor near the yard, just to have a strong signal outside for the cameras I use.
I set up a network with 3 M4s and they work perfectly in a three-story house. There was an Ethernet network on each floor, so I connected the router to the central deco and the rest via Ethernet to the central one. The result is having an incredible Wi-Fi network on each floor with 90Mbps with a 100Mbps line... if they had to communicate with each other via Wi-Fi, maybe I would need 1-2 more to achieve the same result...
It's like having an Ethernet cable connected. The range is what I was looking for. The mobile application is useful. Easy installation.
It was purchased in order to increase the network range in a three-story house, and it did just that. Very easy installation and now everything works perfectly on the ground floor!
I don't know how it is when it does what it manages to do but:
1. The ability to adjust through an application may be convenient. The fact that it is NECESSARY to install an application and create an account with TP-LINK instead of having a simple web interface is unacceptable.
2. The settings it offers are minimal and limited. It can't even wirelessly connect to a network and work as a repeater, while it can do it with other Deco devices.
In the end, it doesn't even have the ability to do the job for which I bought it. And this is due to the lack of settings. The hardware can.
I have 200mbps fiber optic. I made the mistake of buying the E4 model, which only accepts a maximum of 100mbps in the ethernet cable connection of the master, resulting in me having wifi speeds of only 92-97mbps while my provider's connection is 200mbps. Eventually, I solved the problem by purchasing a single Deco M4, which accepts an ethernet connection of up to 1000mbps! Therefore, I deleted everything and started the connection from scratch by first connecting the M4 (master) to the router with an ethernet cable, and then connecting the other two E4 models (slaves). This way, I managed to have speeds of around 170mbps with a 3-4ms ping throughout most of the house! Please note that if someone wants to connect a wired device, they should first check the LAN port speeds supported by the Deco
Very good range even for large houses. Although it is not WiFi 6, the speeds it reaches are excellent in terms of what the provider offers (>90% of the initial speed). Through the app, you can control everything. It gives you the ability to set up a separate Guest network for better security. It may not have the latest protocols (e.g. WPA3), but it allows you to see who and when someone connected, so you can easily have control over security. Beyond that, it connects directly to the classic routers through automatic IPoE configuration without the need to be knowledgeable.
Very stable, better and stronger signal than the modem (Vodafone hs300). I solved the problem with the tapo cameras and the smart bulbs. (package of 2 in approximately 100 square meters, same level)
With the provider's router, as soon as more than 6-7 devices connected to the Wi-Fi, it would start freezing and I couldn't even access its settings page. In fact, my robot vacuum would show a message in the app saying that the signal was very weak, even though it was in the adjacent room, just 4 meters away from the router. As a result, it would often lose the map (because it would lose the connection as soon as it moved a little further away), making it essentially useless.
I turned off the router's Wi-Fi, connected the Deco with wired connections, and set it with the same network name and password as the router. All devices automatically connected to it. I have 12 devices connected now and they all work flawlessly. The vacuum hasn't had any disconnection issues since then, the router accesses the settings page normally, and I think the connection has better performance than before.
User for years of Tp-Link, I just installed Deco M4 and found my peace! I have purchased 6 (one set of four and one set of two) that were placed in two different buildings. And in both cases, they work flawlessly. I have turned off the regular WiFi and let these devices handle the distribution. In the most challenging case, they are spread across 4 floors/one per floor and they all work seamlessly without any disconnections! Additionally, I can monitor who is connected and create a network for guests, no matter where I am. Awesome. I highly recommend it.
Triple range compared to my (also tp-link) router (Archer VR400) which theoretically has the exact same WiFi specifications! It's worth its money and more!
Finally, the signal problem on all floors has been solved. No more disconnections. The only small drawback is that someone should be able to set it up from a computer.
I had a repeater and I was getting 17MB on the 1st floor and 5MB on the 2nd floor, with difficulty, from the 50MB that is my line speed. Now I get 30MB on the 1st floor and 15MB on the 2nd. Excellent, it's definitely worth it if you have a large house or multiple floors.
