Description

Replacement water filter that purifies water in 3 stages. It is a combination filter that reduces cysts, pathogens, chlorine, bacteria, salts, cryptosporidium, fluoride, lead, heavy metals, volatile organic compounds.

Additionally, it reduces drug and pharmaceutical compounds, mercury, nickel, zinc, industrial residues, turbidity, and a very large number of hazardous elements with a single cartridge.

Features

  • In the first stage, there is the patented CeraCyl®, a ceramic material with impregnated silver that removes cysts and pathogenic bacteria and prevents the growth of bacteria and mitosis, while having the ability to self-sterilize.
  • In the second stage, there is also the patented AquaMetix®, a combination of two types of activated carbon with Zeolite. The Zeolite bonds with the activated carbon with special polymers to create an extremely compact and porous water filter that fits most commercial devices.
  • In the third stage, there is a special salt reduction filter that softens the water and limits the aesthetic effect of salts.

I bought this specific filter because it is essentially a 4-stage filter.

      1) Firstly, the ceramic element has a filtration pore size of 0.2 microns.

      2) It is infused with antimicrobial silver, which guarantees that no bacteria or microorganisms will develop if the water remains stagnant in the device for days.

      3) Internally, it includes the special patented aquametix carbon. Aquametix now requires at least 5 minutes for the water to run through in order to clean the filter from carbon dust and other particles it contains. At the beginning, the water may come out black for 4-5 seconds, which is perfectly normal.

      Regarding performance:
The company sent me all the accompanying documents for the filter via email.

      Tests include:
      - Certification from WQA for lead retention
      - Test from a Greek laboratory for performance evaluation
      - Test with all the substances that the filter is capable of reducing.

It is basically one of the few filters that can retain the following with just one cartridge:
      + Lead
      + Chromium
+ Hexavalent chromium (>65% retention, almost no filter can retain hexavalent chromium)
      + Almost all heavy metals
      + Aluminum
      + Nitrates
      + Ammonia
      + Chlorine
      + Arsenic
      + Fluoride
      + Pesticides
+ Narcotics and antibiotics if present in the water
+ And the list goes on, so check the documents in the link below.

Usually, you would need different cartridges for nitrates, arsenic, etc., so the cost for multiple stages and cartridges with other filters increases significantly. With aquametix, you can filter everything with just one cartridge, and its price is not that high considering its capabilities.

In general, apart from what I mentioned above, it reduces almost 100 different things. For more information, check the link I will provide below. And almost all of them are reduced by 99%.

It consists of at least 2 types of high-quality carbon and zeolite. Zeolite, as a mineral, is capable of filtering and retaining radioactive isotopes.

It is a very capable filter for areas with major water issues where reverse osmosis is not required, or for individuals who want to drink the best possible water.

      4) The last stage of filtration is the resin for reducing and improving the salts. The result of the filter is tremendous, and the company has done a great job with the packaging, as seen in the image, to prevent any damage during transportation. It arrived at my house in 2 days amidst Covid-19.

If it is used in a single device without a pre-filter, then after a few months, the flow may decrease, and it may require opening and cleaning the external dirt with a sponge under running water. The good thing about ceramic filters is that they keep the carbon clean from debris, and the dirt remains outside and visible. On the other hand, plain carbon filters retain the dirt inside, and it is very likely that microorganisms will develop if not used as recommended by the manufacturer.

I bought this specific filter (CeraMetix) following the detailed recommendation of a friend of mine who is involved with water filters and has tried activated carbon filters from several companies such as Camelot, Olympus, Primato, etc.! He suggested this specific CeraMetix filter, which is only brought to Greece by the PRIMATO company, and convinced me to purchase it blindly, as his experiences with the company were more than positive and he had only good things to say about their products!
I proceeded to purchase this specific filter on 19/06/.. It was the first time I decided to use a water filter! The initial results after 2 months of using it are impressive! Even friends who only drink bottled water and come to my house and drink from it for the first time immediately notice the difference!!
This filter is 0.2 micron, with an external ceramic coating that retains dirt, rust, cysts, and various other substances outside the filter. Inside, it contains activated carbon, which is essentially a mixture of two high-quality carbons with zeolite. Zeolite is a mineral that enriches the water with potassium, giving it taste and changing its pH to alkaline! If the water is slightly acidic, it makes it alkaline! Alkaline water is very good for the body, considering that springs produce alkaline water! For example, the pH of apples and pears is towards alkaline, so it is reasonable to understand that water that is towards alkaline is very healthy, while when it is acidic, it is very unhealthy! Therefore, zeolite enriches the water and makes it alkaline!
Essentially, the first stage is the 0.2 micron ceramic material, which contains (within the ceramic coating) impregnated antibacterial silver that prevents the growth of microorganisms!
The second stage is the two types of carbon together with zeolite. They absorb all pesticides, heavy metals, all drugs for narcotics that may be found in the water if they are present, and generally many harmful substances for the body. After the water passes through this second stage, there is a third stage, the resin for reducing salts, which reduces the salts!
In summary, this filter has three stages: 1) ceramic, 2) dual carbon with zeolite, and 3) resin for reducing salts, where ion exchange takes place!
Finally, like all ceramic filters, the cerametix, which is ceramic in the first stage, may need cleaning every now and then, as all the dirt and mud accumulate there, and it is possible for the water pressure to decrease a bit. So, you carefully remove the filter and clean it with a sponge like the ones used when washing dishes! (So far, after 2 months of use, the pressure in mine has not decreased at all)
*The water pressure, like in all ceramic filters, is slightly lower, due to the ceramic coating...
I highly recommend this specific filter, the water truly has a fantastic taste, and for some strange reason that I still can't explain, it doesn't make you bloated at all!! It truly is worth its money and more... I will come back for any updates!!
