For its price, I don't think it would disappoint anyone. Many choose the Sigma 105macro, but after reading many reviews about dust inside the lens and defocus elements, my choice was the Tokina. Its sharpness is very good on the d850 that I have. It is used for food, product, and advertising photography and works perfectly. I haven't done much macro, but with a few photos I took of insects, the depiction was very good and the sharpness was the same without having played around much, to tell the truth. The autofocus is fast but not so accurate on moving subjects. Weight-wise, it's not light, nor heavy. The build quality is quite sturdy, but it lacks weather sealing, although I never photograph in the rain, so it didn't bother me much. It doesn't have a stabilizer, but at shutter speeds of 160-200, they come out sharp (not in macro). To work on screwdrive cameras, the aperture must be set to 32, locked there for autofocus to work or for priority.

UPDATE 3/07/2022The color rendition is SUPER, and often the photos require minimal editing.
The autofocus in AF-C is so-so, fast but not very accurate.
A tripod is needed to capture 100%.
High quality and sturdy.
Shutter speed of 250+ to be sure, especially on cameras with high MP.---------------------------------
UPDATE 2/08/2022
The autofocus needed calibration through the camera, and after 3-4 tests at +2, it's as it should be.
I don't think it's the brand's fault because I had the same issue with calibration at -6 with the Nikkor 50mm 1.8.
Many lenses require micro-adjustments.Translated from Greek ·- Construction quality
