The Host Memory Buffer (HMB) feature uses PCI Express's Direct Memory Access (DMA) to allow SSDs to utilize a portion of the computer system's DRAM memory, instead of requiring the SSD to have its own DRAM.

Reviews
- This review is about the capacity: 512 GB
Installed the Gigabyte NVMe 512GB (AG4512G-SI B10) on a gaming laptop as the main (C:\) drive of the Win11 operating system, which has many read/write operations daily. The main reason for choosing it was the 5-year warranty and its high 800TBW lifespan, clearly higher than other SSD drives of the same capacity at the same price (e.g. Samsung, WD, Kingston, etc.), see greater disk longevity over time.

I bought the SSD for the price-to-reliability ratio. In terms of speed, I didn't notice any difference compared to the 2.5" SSD. In terms of reliability, Gigabyte offers a warranty of 300TBW or 5 years, 1,500,000 hours MTBF, which is strange because Samsung offers half the TBW for the same capacity. Also, it's not a trick like other manufacturers who claim 300TBW* but mean it for their 1TB SSDs and give 70TBW for the 256GB ones. The warranty does not apply in case of mining. The previous Kingston A400SSD 2.5" lost 20% of its health with the usage I had in 1.5 years, so I wanted something better without paying for Samsung. Another issue is that it reaches temperatures of 55 (idle) to 62, even though I have 5 fans in the case, the graphics card is idle at 50, and the CPU is idle at 38.

via CrystalDiskMark, after 500gb written, the read remained at 1700MB/s. However, the write had dropped to 60MB/s. For laughs. I sanitized the SSD and it bumped back up to 1100MB/s. After 1 month, the write speed has dropped again to around 250-300MB/s and the whole PC is dragging. Inexcusable

Fast and efficient disk, although it is a bit expensive, my computer opens in 5 seconds and loads all programs very quickly without raising the temperature

Maybe a bit pricey but it has good speeds, it hasn't given me any problems and it offers me some peace of mind due to the Gigabite name. I don't know if everyone will be as satisfied as I am, but after about six months of using it, I can't find a reason to say that I wouldn't get it again.
