Definitely DOES NOT do its job. The PC's graphics card recognizes that there is something like a screen hardware when you connect the adapter, but nothing more. But there is no other communication through HDMI with the actual screen. I wonder why some claim that it works.

It doesn't work, and I don't think I'm doing anything wrong. I've watched videos, but it doesn't work. I'm trying to connect my PS3 to a monitor

I tried it on two different screens and although it works, the image quality is below average and unsuitable for prolonged use, especially for the eyes.

I needed it to display an image from an old laptop with a unique VGA connection to a projector with a unique HDMI connection. It does its job. Everything is good!
