1. Bad sound. It picks up small environmental noises and constantly flashes the first LED because it picks up the sound of the air conditioner (resulting in annoying continuous flashing, especially at night, preventing you from sleeping) and you have to shout to pick up the child. No comparison to the Chicco I had before or the Philips Avent I have at my grandparents' house.
2. The LEDs are very bright. It's great for children and adults who sleep with light, but it's very annoying for people who sleep in the dark. Especially in the child unit, I had to make a hat and put it on top to not disturb the child. And no, the night light is not turned on. I'm referring to the green LED that indicates that the device is in operation.
3. What I found completely unacceptable is that I opened the parent unit and saw that it doesn't even have proper battery terminals!! The batteries are attached to the wires with insulating tape!! Unbelievable! Unfortunately, I noticed this about two months after I bought it and I don't know if they will accept it for replacement because it fell once and the front glass is cracked.
4. The batteries run out after a few hours of use. This doesn't happen with all intercoms. The Chicco I had used AAA batteries and lasted at least 24 hours in total. The Philips Avent uses AA batteries and lasts three days (specifically, two hours during the day and about 10 hours at night).
The only reason I still have this device and haven't replaced it is because of the temperature indicator and the fact that the child unit uses batteries for possible power outages, which are the only positive aspects of the device. And what has impressed me is that the baby unit has a very good speaker while the parent unit is unacceptable.
I bought it for 28 euros on sale, but I should have bought the Chicco, which initially had a 10 euro difference. Unfortunately, the saleswoman deceived me.
I have bought it for quite some time and after a lot of searching...
Positives:
It has clear sound.
Powerful sound at maximum volume.
Colorful lighting that relaxes.
Options with vibration, timer, volume selection.
With microphone sensitivity to open the sound from a certain volume and above.
Two-way communication.
Small with nice design.
Negatives:
When it is on high, there is a continuous buzzing sound but low in volume, I don't find it bothersome.
The batteries run out relatively quickly, but I know that happens with all of them.
I believe I made a good choice and it's worth its money.
