Description

The i90 Solid by HJC is a flip-up helmet, widely known as "flip-up" or "openable" as the front part of the helmet can be lifted. It is made of thermoplastic, a reinforced hard material of high strength. It fastens with a microlock, which allows you to fasten it easily and quickly. The helmet has European safety certification "ECE 22.05", which ensures that the helmet is tested for drop, impact, and object penetration. The package includes an anti-fog film, an additional accessory for the helmet visor that prevents it from fogging up. It is placed on the inner side of the helmet and is useful during the winter months. Additionally, it features a sun visor, which is an internal sunshade film, like glass, for protection from the sun.

    It is a helmet with quite good features.
    All its functional parts work perfectly. Its materials are of good quality, it has good ventilation, its visor fits as it should, no air enters, also its tinted visor does not distort like in some other brands, and its fit is satisfactory.
    The noise level is at normal levels... let's not forget that it is a flip-up helmet.
    We cannot expect a helmet that costs 190 euros to have the same requirements and features as helmets that cost 1,000 euros... let's not get carried away.
    For its price, it is very decent.

    After the Caberg Duke2, I switched to the HJC i90. Compared to the Duke that I had for 7 years, it seems to have slightly better materials, which will definitely show after 2-3 summers. It has a good fit, maybe slightly better, although after 7 years, the Caberg had loosened up and I don't remember its initial fit. However, the visibility and noise are considerably worse than the Caberg. After 60 km, it becomes quite intense and its visibility is mediocre. I don't think I would choose this helmet again at this price range. The opening and closing mechanism is good and its ventilation as well
