As the Third Reich comes to an end, a deadly game begins

The population of Dresden suffers from the war that seems never-ending and from deprivations. Air raid alarms are a daily occurrence. Inspector Max Heller is called to see the body of a woman who has been horribly abused.
The rumor spreads immediately: the perpetrator is the "Monster" that silently roams the city's alleys at night. Amid the chaos of the last winter of the war, Heller tries to solve the crime but finds himself at a dead end. When in February 1945 the city is leveled by an unprecedented bombing, new threatening clues come to light - and Heller embarks on a dangerous quest to uncover the "Monster".
