Description

The trilogy of "The Dragon of Prespa" narrates from three different perspectives the appearance of a monster in Great Prespa. The lake is shared by three small countries vulnerable to demons and misfortunes: Greece, North Macedonia, and Albania. The beast's onslaught is sweeping. Each country interprets the mysterious invader's intentions differently and develops its own dragon-related policy. In "Valley of Mud" (Athens Academy Award, Klepsydra magazine Award), the adventures of the Greek side are described.

In "Amber Desert," the narrative takes us to the North Macedonian side. There, the dragon appears as an otherworldly sand that turns the lake into an impassable desert. Visionaries and adventurers, demagogues and criminals, philosophers and merchants compete and conspire in its nest. Deceptive and unpredictable, the dragon challenges the researchers who study it, the market that covets it, and the society that tolerates, sustains, and fantasizes about it, but its myth begins to waver...

The trilogy of "The Dragon of Prespa" can be read in any order. Each book reveals a new world of action and mystery, metaphysical enigmas, and political intrigues, illuminating the delicate threads that connect the dreams and delusions of people and nations.
