This book is a collection of individual experiential narratives on the subject of the Polytechnic Uprising (November 14-18, 1973). It consists of eighty-four recorded texts of oral testimonies-interviews with an equal number of narrators, which took place from late 2010 to the autumn of 2019. It is a systematic study of oral history based on parallel criteria of representativeness regarding participation in the events that constitute testimonies from women and men, female and male students, trade unionists of the anti-dictatorship student movement, members of illegal organizations, students, workers, protesters who were injured by bullets, eyewitnesses, and military personnel. The main goal of the book is to constitute a body of information that will fill some of the gaps in the research on the Polytechnic Uprising and, at the same time, contribute to the preservation of the memory of one of the most emblematic events in modern Greek history, which continues to be the subject of intense debates and various revisions.
