Very nice monitor, worth everything. They may say that the menu is terrible, but I am very satisfied with this purchase. If you want a gaming monitor, this is the right one
Buying a monitor after 12 years.. Impressions in general are positive, of course.. good black (not perfect), nice colors (I would prefer them more vibrant).. viewing angles are decent, but we are always talking about a VA panel.
In the negatives..
- Almost non-existent cable management..
- The pixels are noticeable.... at 27 inches, 1080 is pointless, go for 2k..
but!!! 2k with 165hz, 1ms and ASUS quality, there is no monitor below 370€, so you get what you pay for...
- It has ghosting.. a little bit, but it does.. but personally, I'm not that picky, nor does it bother me for the usage I have.
If it drops to 250€, I would buy it without hesitation!
Purchased at €290, it is a very good choice. Easily, someone could go for a 2k with 144Hz, but personally, I don't believe that there is any graphics card under €1000 that can make use of the 2k 144Hz. Personally, with the 2070 super, I have full utilization of the performance of this specific monitor (meaning 135-150 FPS) only at 1080p in titles like Battlefield V and Cod Warzone at maximum graphics, as at 2k with upscale it is around 100 FPS. The size is ideal and the viewing angles are very good without significant color change. The speakers are average, although I generally don't use them. As for its features, although it is not gsync, I don't see any tearing at all with v-sync off. After just one day of use, I had already gotten used to the 165Hz and can't go back to 60... The difference is noticeable. It is visually the best you can find, especially with a wall mount it will be even more beautiful.
I got this perfect screen for 280 euros and it's worth every penny. I believe the Racing Mod has the best colors and I recommend using this ICC profile (https://www.rtings.com/images/reviews/monitor/asus/tuf-vg27vq/tuf-vg27vq-rtings-icc-profile.icm). Now, as for input lag and tearing, for the best performance, I think the settings should be g-sync enabled, v-sync on, and cap the fps -3 from the refresh rate, preferably using frame cap with RTSS. Do not adjust the Trace Free and Vivid Pixel settings because it increases ghosting when you lower the settings and if you increase them, corona appears. Additionally, the ELMB has a slight double image ghosting effect, but it's normal.
Overall, it's a perfect screen.
An excellent screen..after a lot of searching, I ended up with this one, nice screen colors, good lighting..I was torn between a Samsung gaming monitor and this one..for gaming, it is far better but for movies, it's better to go for Samsung even though the color differences are minimal.
P.S. (Keep in mind that your computer needs to support it because with my old graphics card (MSI Radeon R7 370 2GB Gaming) it only supported up to 120Hz displayport and not 144Hz-165Hz)
Purchased from a well-known chain at the best market price, coming with a display port cable, easy assembly, worked at 165Hz... User-friendly joystick menu with all the perks, shortcut buttons on the side for quick selections. No burnt pixels and a 36-month warranty if it develops three bright or five black spots, with a warranty card and technical support in Greece. Its curvature is 1500 and embraces my field of vision. It is pleasant to use for text processing and navigation, without pixelation due to its 1080p resolution. It is connected to an Nvidia 1660ti, so it is the perfect match for this card at this resolution for ultra-high settings. Recognized as a g-sync compatible monitor... Additionally, its stand allows for 90 degrees of left or right rotation, but not vertical rotation. More details on real gaming performance coming soon...
