The Archer T2U AC600 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter from Tp-link offers wireless speeds of 600Mbps (150Mbps at 2.4 GHz and 433Mbps at 5GHz), supporting the next-generation Wi-Fi 802.11ac standard.
Supports Dual-band for better connections
With AC wireless technology, the Archer T2U provides connections up to 3x faster than the previous Wireless N standard. High-speed Wi-Fi (up to 150Mbps via the 5GHz band and 433Mbps via the 2.4GHz band) means that the Archer T2U is capable of supporting all your online activities, from HD video streaming to online gaming and web browsing without lag.
Minimal design
The Archer T2U has a smart design that is simpler than an ordinary USB adapter. Not only can it connect to any USB port, but it is also easy to carry, making your daily life more convenient.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can

I thought that the product would cover my basic browsing needs - I never had the expectation for it to do anything more. Unfortunately, it is the most unacceptable USB WLAN network card that I have ever used. It constantly disconnects without any error or visible signs. For example, it continues to ping but no other traffic is being transmitted. I recommend not purchasing it.
I have no problem with the speed, but from the beginning when I got it, it always disconnected when I connected another USB device (flash drive, keyboard, etc.) to the USB port right next to it. Now, after 1 year, it still disconnects and after troubleshooting with Windows, it reconnects. I don't have an opinion on other USB wifi adapters, but I believe there must be something better out there.
In the end, it's not even good for browsing. Overall, it's not good for anything. It's now 80% disconnected even when I'm alone on the network. My mobile phone has perfect and stable connection. Truly a waste of money.
Initial evaluation:
Okay, I didn't expect much for its price. I use it on a desktop computer. I have a brand new fiber internet line next to my house (the cables were installed last year in the apartment building) with a speed of 50 Mbps. If no one else is using the internet, I get 45 Mbps. But when someone else uses it, the internet keeps freezing and disconnecting constantly. The router is on the adjacent wall and I have 4/5 signal bars. In the bedroom, which is three meters away, it doesn't have any signal at all.
Also, a major drawback for me is that the wireless mouse with a 1000 Hz polling rate causes interference that renders this receiver completely useless.
For gaming, if you don't want to constantly have 10-15% packet loss at best, go somewhere else.
In the end, it's cheap, yes, but I would have preferred to spend a bit more for a better product. Unless I only used it for browsing.
Unacceptable product. I bought it for an old laptop that doesn't detect 5ghz (300mbps) and it struggles to connect to wifi (at 4 meters). And when it does connect, it reaches less than half the speed (40mbps) that the laptop achieves without it (90-100mbps). It has no relation to the advertised speeds, of course.
Let me start by saying that the speed I have at home is 360 Mbps upload download. I have installed one on my desktop to avoid cables, three rooms away, at a frequency of 5GHz. I have no complaints, I can reach the full 360 Mbps. I have also installed it on my laptop, which has its own Wi-Fi at 2.4 GHz, but in order to fully utilize the speed with the tp-link, I have also connected to the 5 gigahertz frequency.
It only has an issue with the range, even in a neighboring room it loses a lot. Compared to a mobile phone that has 100% signal, this one only reaches 70% and if you move it a little, it can drop to 50%. So if you want it for another room with a wall in between, it probably won't work.
Plays well on Windows 11.
Disconnections are a big issue, if there are only a few wifi networks it works very well, but if there are many networks there may be conflicts and evaluation is no longer easy.
Bought it 3+ years ago. It had good speeds with a 100 Mbps connection and no interruptions whatsoever. Suddenly, out of nowhere, it became useless. Countless disconnections and with remote work being an essential part of my daily life, it's simply garbage. No upgrades and no matter what settings I tried, it didn't work. If you want it for about 2.5 - 3 years, it's worth it(;;;;;;;!!!!). Beyond that, it's probably useless.
After three years of use, I cannot recommend it, just like the T3U....
Constant disconnections
It does NOT have support from the company with software updates (the last one was made in 2019).
Terrible antenna, tested on both Windows 10 and 11 and compared it to the laptop's factory antenna, and it doesn't even come close. The biggest waste of money I've ever spent on an antenna. With the laptop's factory antenna, I get a ping of 17ms and a speed of 32mbps, compared to the 48mbps that my router outputs. With the TP-Link antenna, I have a ping of 40ms and can't get anything above 16mbps no matter what I try. Slow ping and poor reception on any USB port I tried it on. Unfortunately, I read the reviews and still bought it. Also, I forgot to mention that I tried it with both the drivers that Windows selected when I connected it to the port and with the official TP-Link drivers, and I didn't see any difference at all. Stay away from it.
This adapter is very good, especially for its price. Let's start with the fact that the connection is easy and personally, I didn't need to download drivers (on Windows 10) and it was ready to use right away. It delivers what you pay for in terms of internet speed. I have a 100 Mbps connection and I get 95+ Mbps. I recommend it, although I haven't had any issues with the range (I'm close to six meters away from the router), I believe it's logical that it might not perform as well if you move further away. It is preferable to have it in a 2.0 USB port
I bought it for a Faux-Chromebook that I have and the wifi was not working... Of course, the best part is that this one didn't work either (ha ha ha ha)! I put it in a machine with Windows 10 and a laptop with Ubuntu Budgie and it worked perfectly! So, everything is OK!
I will talk about my personal experience with the adapter that fell into my hands. AVOID IT. First of all, I want to mention that the two previous times I had a tp-link adapter, both of them broke after about 3.5 years (the first one completely stopped working, while the second one kept disconnecting constantly).
Now, let's talk about this one. The packaging doesn't have a lid and the adapter doesn't have a WPS button. However, the real problem lies elsewhere, in the speed at a range of about 4-5 meters without obstacles.
I test the speed using Ookla's speedtest and OTE S.A. server.
I place my phone at 4-5 meters as I mentioned before and open the hotspot. I perform 5 different measurements and get the following results (all other Wi-Fi devices in the house turned off):
ping download upload
17 15.6 2.27
15 16.3 3.06
18 16.5 3.53
18 16.5 2.32
17 16.2 2.83
So far so good. Now let's see the speeds that this adapter (2.4GHz) reaches.
ping download upload
19 7.41 5.07
22 6.35 5.09
22 10.53 2.5
19 10.33 3.56
23 9.55 1.86
As you can see, the speeds are unacceptably low. In download, I have lost about 40-50% of my speed. As a test, I also placed an iPhone 6 exactly in the same position where the adapter was (the adapter was removed from the computer and all other Wi-Fi networks were turned off).
ping download upload
20 16.3 2.89
20 14.9 4.56
21 15.6 5.36
22 16.4 2.77
20 15.2 3.45
Therefore, the adapter is useless. Personally, I will try not to buy tp-link again, but most adapters are from this brand. I consider the cheap tp-link adapters to be fake.
I bought it to install it on a 10-year-old(+) Toshiba laptop with Windows Vista operating system. Although I downloaded the updated driver for WinVista from the tplink website, the installation kept "freezing" at 90%. I tried various ways to bypass the obstacle, but I couldn't succeed. I had to go back to the on-board wifi, with the problems/limitations I had. If anything changes or if I install it somewhere else, I will come back. The very positive thing about this is that I purchased it at a good price (14.50 euros).
I have had it for 2 months now and it has been very good. The only thing you need to do for it to work perfectly is to download the driver for this specific model from the tplink website. Also, the speeds are the same as what I get on my mobile, so there is no difference, plus it has dualband at 5ghz which is value for money.
