The autobiographical trilogy of Menelaos Lountemis "Sarcophagi" concludes with the book "The Angel with the Plaster Wings". In the third part - perhaps the harshest of the previous two - the tortures to which political prisoners are subjected in Makronisos and Athens are presented in a realistic manner, the interventions of party organs towards those who decide to follow a "different line", as well as the few moments of freedom experienced by the author, from the moment he is transferred to a clinic - "to restore his mental tone first", always under the watchful eye of the Security - "I must return to the hospital. I fear that the Security will come and not find me" says the author sarcastically. He tries to live again at a normal pace, but his expected arrest puts an end to the way of life he had forgotten, in places of exile and torture.
