The first flames of the Civil War engulf the country. Under mysterious circumstances, the six-year-old daughter of a German diplomat and the five-year-old son of his Greek maid disappear. Athens is shaken by the double abduction.
Police officer Nikos Agrafiotis, who has returned to Greece with a new identity and a shattered life, takes on a mission that will greatly determine the course of the Allies' operations in the Mediterranean. However, his plans will be dramatically overturned as he is forced to infiltrate the depths of Special Security to dismantle networks of traitors and solve the case of the children's abduction.
With the help of a woman, Agrafiotis will connect with secret patriotic organizations in Athens, wander in the mountains of the Civil War, and try to remain invincible in the "lair of evil" in order to save human lives without losing his soul.
