In this edition, the case law and theory on critical issues that have led to new positions and opinions have been enriched and updated. The new Law 4092/2012, which concerns issues of civil liability insurance for car accidents, has also contributed to this direction.

Meanwhile, significant legislative changes followed, both in the Code of Civil Procedure with Law 4335/2015, which concerns the book on the chapter of adjudication of cases for disputes arising from car accidents, and in the liquidation of insurance companies based on Law 4364/2016.

The above legislative developments made it necessary, for the information of interested readers, to publish the new fifth (5th) edition of the book in two (2) volumes, for ease of use, due to its extensive content compared to the previous edition.
