I bought it after seeing the positive comments and because it's an HP, which provides excellent support for Linux (I wasn't interested in connecting with Windows).
The reason I ended up with a laser printer is because I always had a multifunction printer with a scanner and a color printer, but I hardly ever printed color documents. As for the scanner, I never used it, especially now that we have smartphones that do it just fine. So the HP Laser 107w suited my needs perfectly.
The connection to WiFi can be tricky for beginners, but not for experienced users. The process involves downloading the application and once you open it and click on "add new printer," you'll need to go to the WiFi settings on your mobile device, find the HP_Wifi, and after connecting to it, it will ask you to select your home WiFi network to complete the connection.
TIP: Once connected to WiFi, you can press and hold the middle button (between the WiFi and power button) for 10 seconds, and it will print out information about the printer. There you will also see its IP address to connect through your browser. There, you can click on "login" in the top right corner and it will prompt you to sign in. The default username is "admin" and the password is left blank.
The printing is indeed very fast compared to inkjet printers. For those of you using Linux, search on Google for "HP Laser 107w Connection on Linux" for detailed instructions. When connected, it will also show you the toner level, as shown in the image

To connect it to your network, you must follow exactly what it says... Do not make the mistake of connecting it with the USB before connecting it to the network, you will regret it. After a lot of hassle because I had connected it with USB, and after a technician came, it finally connected to the network (I have enough knowledge but couldn't figure it out). Although the HP Smart app finds the printer through mobile, it cannot be found on the computer at all, whether on the same network as the PC and printer, or through WiFi, or through USB. And all this after a week of hassle. Good printing for home use, but nothing extraordinary. I would not buy it again just because of the hassle.

I have had it since 2020. As a construction, it is good. I do not have an opinion on the wired, only on the wireless. A new opinion that I have based on my four-year experience leans towards the negative: the HpSmart application often did not find the already installed printer. I was forced to enter directly with the printer's password to print. It has betrayed me several times when I needed to print a document immediately, many times. At intervals, the application did not detect it and suddenly after a while everything was fixed until it happened again.
All this over a period of four years. Until now, it does not find it again. I have reset it, restored factory settings to reinstall it, and the application simply does not see it.
You can easily find aftermarket toner and do your job just fine.
And because time is what ultimately determines if a purchase was worth it, I would not buy it again even for €20 due to its problematic wireless connection and the unacceptable hp smart application. All this with very mild use, about 6-7 pages per week.
The print quality for home use is simply acceptable.

Did you find this review helpful?The printer prints quite well, although I think the previous HP laser printer I had with the 79a toner had higher resolution. It is a fast and trouble-free printer. One problem it has is with Wi-Fi printing because sometimes I can't find it on the network. Also, the installation is a bit difficult for average users. I am now thinking of changing the Wi-Fi password and I am not doing it because of the new setup that the printer will require. I bought it for about 100€ and now it costs around 270€(!), which obviously is not worth that much. It's fine at 100-120.

The prints are of very good quality. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because the connection with wi-fi is very difficult as the hp smart app does not always detect the printer. I had to access the web server to make the settings. Also, when you have set it to print via wifi, the connection with the USB cable is not recognized!! So, you can have either one or the other! Also, there is a suspicion that when it goes into standby mode, it is not detected by the smart app.

I carefully read all the user comments before buying it. I have had it for about 4 months, and I have printed around 400 pages of text using the factory toner (with about 60% remaining), of course, the number of pages each person can print varies depending on the type of text. Externally, the plastic parts are of good quality considering the price. I haven't encountered any printing problems, even when I ran out of paper and added more, it recognized it and continued printing. It can print directly without a router, I don't have a router (internet) in the room where I have placed it. To print after entering the printer's wifi code, the data needs to be turned off. This can be easily solved with the relevant HP plugins. I notice that many users harshly criticize many products, but this is something cheap and they blame it for that reason (because it is cheap for users who want small volume printing and performance). This printer belongs to the home printers category. It can print from a mobile device even if there is no PC, printing PDF files, black and white documents, emails very easily from the mobile device with the installation of the HP plugin and HP Smart.

Installation is easy, just connect to the page 123.hp.com, select the model, and follow simple instructions. I installed it on a desktop with wireless functionality and it worked immediately. Of course, the desktop had a wireless network card. Then I wanted to print from the same printer, from a laptop that I have, and I believe I made the mistake that most people make and get confused: I thought I could give a print command from the laptop to the 107w, just because I saw it on the wireless network. Obviously, this was not true, I realized it after a while, so I did the same installation process on the laptop. Just be careful every time you install it for wireless use on a device, to select that the printer is already declared on the wireless network, because you have done this during the first installation, on your first device. After that, it works perfectly fine on both devices....the printer, even though it is in power-saving mode, "wakes up" with the print command from wifi and prints almost immediately. Its reliability will be shown in the future.
