I didn't see a big difference in lathering compared to the brush with natural boar bristles, Omega 11574, which I have had for a few weeks now. But, on the other hand, I haven't fully broken in the Omega Hi-Brush Fiber Shaving Brush yet.

The shaving foam I have been using lately is the Noxzema Smoothing Shaving Foam 300ml. They say that if you have a tough beard like mine, then an economical brush with boar bristles (wild boar to be precise) may be the most suitable for you.

The density of the bristles of the Omega Hi-Brush Fiber Shaving Brush 112mm Black 0196712 is moderate. However, the brush seems sturdy. And I haven't lost a single bristle since I bought and started using it. And I'm almost certain it will continue like this.

The base of the brush is metallic and not plastic, as I have seen in other cheaper brushes. Probably, due to this detail in the construction of the brush, the Omega Hi-Brush Fiber Shaving Brush 112mm Black 0196712 does not shed bristles.

The Omega Hi-Brush Fiber Shaving Brush 112mm Black 0196712 is a relatively thick brush with a large and tall base. If you have large hands like mine, it will fit you like a glove.

Personally, I prefer the texture of the plastic handle over the wooden one. Since it is softer, smoother, and leaves a better feeling in the hand. But this is purely a matter of personal preference. And I won't evaluate it positively or negatively.

The Omega Hi-Brush Fiber Shaving Brush 112mm Black 0196712 is quite heavy compared to other brushes due to its wooden handle. Wood has a higher density as a material than plastic. Therefore, wooden brushes are heavier.

The bristles of this product are so soft, like silk, literally! No comparison to the harsh boar bristle brushes. I didn't expect the bristles to be this soft.

Know that the synthetic brushes from the Italian company, Omega, use state-of-the-art technology. With the aim of offering you excellent synthetic brushes with exceptional performance in shaving. Essentially superior to the very expensive badger hair brushes. And at a relatively low cost.

Personally, I prefer the natural scent of the boar bristle brush over the synthetic one. The Omega Hi-Brush Fiber Shaving Brush 112mm Black 0196712 has an overly sweet, non-masculine smell. Which I don't particularly like but, ultimately, it's tolerable.

My only complaint about the Omega Hi-Brush Fiber Shaving Brush 112mm Black 0196712 is that about half an hour after it arrived at my house with a courier, the white letters on the handle faded a bit. Where the Omega brand is written.

In conclusion, the synthetic shaving brush, Omega Hi-Brush Fiber Shaving Brush 112mm Black 0196712, is a very commendable product. That offers a lot at a reasonable price. Due to its high durability and reliability, I think you will have it for a lifetime. Enjoy it!
