  Easy to use, quality materials, quick heating, easy maintenance, nice coffee extraction and with many settings. Unfortunately, it broke down within 9 months of use with two coffees per day. I searched online and saw that this whole series of machines has the same problem with the grinding mill. Disappointing for a company like Philips to release such an expensive coffee machine with such a problem and not address it. I would not recommend it. I returned it for inspection and will ask for a refund. Finally, it has been 10 days and it is still in the inspection stage, in my opinion it has taken too long, the inspection should not be delayed so much, especially when you have paid so much money for this machine...

  After 6 months, the milk frother steam started making a lot of noise and burning the milk.. I took it to the service, the steam wand was replaced but the problem was not fixed, I will get a different device for frothing milk..

  Unfortunately, after 1 year of operation, it stopped producing coffee and after 1.5 months in service, it was returned with a broken lid of the ground coffee receptacle. I reported this to the company and I am awaiting a response. The issue with these machines is their reliability, as you spend €300-€350 to drink quality coffee at home and hope to have it for years. I will come back after the repair to see how long it will function properly. After 2 months in service, it was repaired and works well. It has been about 5 months now and it is functioning correctly, producing nice coffee. I hope it lasts.

  Summary: It makes good coffee but the potential buyer should consider the maintenance costs and the low build quality.

  First of all, I have to say that the coffee maker makes better coffee than the Dolce Gusto capsules I had for so long. Is it much better? I'm not sure. I really liked the Intenso capsules that I used. They were much better than many cafes or takeaways.

  As for the coffee beans, the prices are generally expensive. The average price is 25€ per kilo. This means that an espresso costs you about 25 minutes and a freddo costs you 50 minutes. With the capsules, it took 35-40 minutes for a single and 70-80 minutes for a double. So, you save a little from here.

  The downside is that you have to buy quantities of 250g and above. If you don't like the coffee or you force yourself to drink it, it goes to waste. Many brands don't have packaging below 1kg.

  Also, you can't make one coffee with one brand and another coffee with a different brand. Because you can't see how many beans are inside the grinder, changing from one brand to another requires 2-3 coffees. Some of them will be a mix of the two different beans.

  The first coffees were disappointing, but when you find the blend you like and the right settings for that blend, then you can enjoy a nice coffee.

  Overall, it is easy to use, just press 2 buttons and you have a quality coffee in the morning. However, it takes a little experimentation to find the right settings. The capsules were easier in this aspect. The daily cleaning is also very easy.

  Where I was disappointed is the build quality. The grinder broke after 5 months of use (5-6 coffees per day). From what I read, it has happened to others as well. I made an investment of 300€ to drink better coffee, but it broke in 6 months. It is very likely to happen again after the warranty expires.

  Because it was under warranty, they replaced the grinder for free, otherwise it would have cost 80€. The coffee maker stayed in service for 1 month!

  Also, it has a fairly high maintenance/cleaning cost. Compared to the capsules, the cost was minimal. The descaling liquid costs 7€ and above, and the aquafilter costs 15€! Descaling was not requested within the first 5 months because I was using the filter, but they asked for a filter change after 4 months. I decided not to use the filter because 45€ per year (3 x 15) is too much. Besides, I have a filter on my tap. Also, there is a lubricant that needs to be applied to the mechanism, which costs 10€. I haven't used it yet, so I don't know how many uses one 5g tube provides.

  So, if you follow the instructions, you need 2-3 filters, 2-3 descalings, and half a tube, which adds up to around 50-70€ per year for maintenance. If you don't use the filter (not required) and do 3 descalings per year + half a tube, it comes to around 25€ per year, which is more reasonable.

  I have the coffee maker for over 2 months, good coffee and fast but I think if it had more water and coffee options it would be top. It only has 3 positions for water and 3 positions for coffee. Its noise level is louder than other machines. A big negative is that to make a double coffee, it fills twice like 2 separate coffees.

  Hello. I bought this machine with the purpose of making higher quality coffees at my office. I got it at a good price due to Black Friday. It arrived relatively quickly and I eagerly rushed to make my first espresso, following the instructions for first use of the device to the letter... BOOM! Hot water shot out with pressure from the back and underneath the machine with a noise like a steam engine taking off. Naturally, the power in my office went out and a smell of burnt flooded the space. Since morning, I've been trying to figure things out with the store, but of course, I haven't been able to tell them what device I have and what problem has occurred. I will update, although having had a recent experience with the store's after-sales service, I will probably be a little late. That's it, I'm going to order a coffee.

  Hello again, so after a month and a lot of pressure from me, but also a significant miscommunication between Phillips (which was impeccable) and the store, the machine was replaced. In the week that we have been using it, I have to say that I am quite satisfied with the quality and aroma of the coffee. It definitely takes several trials to find which coffee brand you like and with what settings to make it, but I consider it a worthwhile purchase. The only negative so far is the noise it makes when preparing coffee on Fridays. That's it, I'm finally going to make a coffee

  Having spent 6 months with it, it is a very affordable and generally good super-automatic coffee machine in the sense that it easily makes a good coffee and froth.

  Observations:
  1. It makes single shots of espresso, which means that in the case of choosing a double shot, it performs the cycle twice - a minor inconvenience. In the case of using ground coffee (e.g. decaf) in the special compartment (always in a single shot), the result is mediocre. Having the extensive experience of a Delonghi Magnifica S ECAM, I would say that Philips makes better froth and is easier for a beginner.
  2. The AcquaClean filter system leaves me with question marks. From the moment I installed a water filter on the faucet, I removed it.
  3. The machine broke down in the third week of operation, after approximately 120 single coffees. After 2 weeks in service, the faulty grinder was replaced.
  4. In all super-automatic machines, attention is needed in the selection of coffee, which should not be oily.
