Description

For twelve thousand years, the Galactic Empire has been the epitome of human civilization. However, its prime has long passed. Only Hari Seldon, a visionary scientist and father of the science known as psychohistory, knows what the future holds - an era of darkness, barbarism, and war that will last thirty millennia. In his desperate attempt to pass on knowledge to future generations and save humanity, Seldon gathers the Empire's top scientists and thinkers and transports them to a planet on the outskirts of the galaxy, a world destined to become the cradle of civilization and a beacon of hope for future generations.

This refuge is named Foundation.

Soon, Foundation finds itself at the mercy of corrupt warlords emerging from the ruins of the Empire. The inevitable dilemma for the last defenders of human civilization is to submit to the barbarians and live as slaves - or choose freedom, a decision that may lead them and the entire human race to total destruction...

Isaac Asimov's monumental work that shaped the evolution of an entire genre was honored with the Hugo Award as the greatest science fiction series of all time and rightfully earned a place among the masterpieces of contemporary literature.

Tremendous book with twists and turns, very powerful imagination. One of the few books that kept me captivated. The tetralogy is worth reading, it seems very promising.

A very nice book, regardless of its genre. It is the first in the series, fast-paced and very easy to read, even for those who have no connection to the genre of science fiction. Whether it takes place in the present or in the distant future, its structure and the correlations within the text could be applicable anywhere. I highly recommend it!

Very nice work. Not unjustly the best work of science fiction. Truly, for anyone who likes such stories, it is worth it and it takes you on a journey to an infinite beautiful world with whatever one can imagine. Many congratulations also to the author.

Book station for science fiction, both for its scope (including continuations) and for the narrative model and the author's insight.
