I use the 245 daily for over 2 years with continuous training and recording 24/7. Its indications are not accurate. Specifically, the heart rate indications can increase without corresponding to the actual values. The indications for weight exercises are all over the place! It is durable with a relatively good battery and easy connection to devices. In my estimation, its reliability is the issue. I hope the manufacturers will make the necessary improvements.

There is now the 255 as well, but if you don't pay through your watch, the differences are minimal. Positives:
- Clear, always on screen, without standing out.
- Plenty of Facewatch and Data fields to have the measurements you want while running.
- Running Dynamics (if combined with HRM-RUN or Running Dynamics Pod).
- Connection with multiple sensors simultaneously via ANT+ or Bluetooth BLE.

- Good battery life.
- Very lightweight and does not bother the wrist.

- Sleep/Breathing/Stress/Step Monitoring (I don't know how reliable these measurements are, but they are good enough for comparisons).

Negatives:

I have been the owner of this device for about 20 days, so I believe I have formed a general impression. Specifically:
Positives:
- Lightweight (36g) so it sits comfortably on the wrist without being noticeable.
- Long battery life (approximately 1 week with 3 40-minute workouts per week).
- Abundant information about various activity parameters through Garmin Connect.
- Exercise measurements appear accurate.
- GPS signal locks on quickly.
Negatives:
- GPS, especially in densely built areas, is not very accurate, resulting in some inaccuracies regarding the distance covered in a specific activity.
- While all notifications from the mobile phone (email, messenger, viber, etc.) are received normally, you can only read them and cannot do anything more. Especially if you receive 2 or more SMS messages in a short period of time, you are not even allowed to preview the messages. The device is clearly oriented towards being a sportswatch rather than a smartwatch.
In summary, the device is highly recommended for anyone who is fully aware of what it can provide in terms of information and what it cannot.

I have had the watch for 6 months and I am very satisfied with the purchase! In short, the price is double compared to other watches on the market, especially considering that the screen is neither touch nor high resolution, which raises some concerns. On the other hand, if you want it purely for running and workouts, I believe it is worth the money (despite its high price). However, if you are still unsure, read my full review below.

I wanted a watch specifically for running and this one has everything I needed (and more). In my review, I will try to be as objective as possible, but it's a bit difficult because I am extremely enthusiastic about this watch compared to my previous Samsung Galaxy Watch, which disappointed me during my runs (even though I am an amateur runner).

Let's start with the main reason that raises concerns: the price! When you pay for Garmin, you also pay for what we call the "Garmin tax"! It's like a 40% extra charge just because we like it that way! On the other hand, it offers "all in one" services that have been very helpful for me personally. Especially the coaching service provided by professionals on Garmin Connect, which makes running like a game! It creates special programs based on your goals, and they change weekly depending on your performance! In terms of build quality, programs, and measurements, I personally believe it's worth the money, but it is definitely an expensive smartwatch.

Now, let's talk about the build quality! The plastic is highly durable and very lightweight. You hardly feel it on your wrist! This was the main reason why I chose this watch over other Garmin watches.

In terms of ease of use: I would give it a 3 out of 5 for first impressions because imagine doing everything with 5 buttons and a low-resolution screen. Especially in our world where we are used to doing everything with touch screens and beautiful animations, it may seem a bit outdated at first, but you just need to get used to it! Once you get used to it, everything looks great! Personally, I think if they were to make the watch with higher resolution and add more weight and a smaller battery, I would still prefer it this way! However, it has excellent brightness, even in direct sunlight.

The battery is simply perfect! Despite listening to music from the watch while running, it lasts almost a week (I run 3-4 times a week).

In terms of measurements (heart rate, VO2 Max, running pace, etc.), I personally had no issues, and it was something that worried me a lot before purchasing it, to be honest. I am especially satisfied with the heart rate readings. One "trick" I found in case you have issues with GPS is to wait a bit before starting your run, so it can locate you more easily. In the 6 months I've had it, I only had 2-3 instances where it couldn't find the GPS. And I realized it was probably because I started it while already running (and those days were also cloudy). Since then, I do the following: I press start -> Running, wait for it to locate me while standing still, and once it shows green, I start my warm-up walk, and after 5 minutes, I press the second start to begin my run

I have had the device in my possession for about a week. I used to own the forerunner 235. Externally, it gives you the feeling of a sturdy construction. The metal buttons have a nice feel, much better than the plastic ones on the 235. The screen has much better clarity, more vibrant colors, and almost the same size as the 235, although the 245 is slightly smaller because it has smaller bezels on the screen. Maybe for some, mainly men, it may feel small in their hand. You get used to it after a few days. The watch is lightweight for runners, it really feels like you're not wearing anything compared to the huge fenix. The menu has completely changed. It is very user-friendly and much faster, you get used to it after 2-3 workouts. It has wifi for updates. The heart rate sensor comes from larger models, so far it works perfectly and also measures blood oxygen saturation (oximeter). I connected Bluetooth headphones to the watch. No problem with music playback and it has an easy menu while running to change songs or increase the volume. With the headphones, if you set it up, it informs you vocally in Greek at the end of each lap, how many kilometers you have done, the lap pace, and the current pace. It also informs you about your performance condition in the first 5-6 minutes of exercise, which is an evaluation of your performance compared to your physical condition. A stopwatch has also been added, which was missing from the previous version, and many new applications such as stress level, body battery, etc., which are purely for information. Finally, the battery life depends on each person's usage and if they listen to music during exercise. For me, it is about the same as the 235. My impressions are positive.
